Details coming about Merril Lynch. They were fucked...and the new CEO last year spend $1.2 million on redocrating his office. His fucking driver made $230k a year.

The s*&t is starting to hit the fan. Hang on to your cash...

Layoffs stink, but they're part of a process of a company getting healthy.

Which means new ones will pop up in their place. It's the business circle of life.

Get some friends together and start your own company. Don't be hostage to someone else.

I am strongly considering doing this, we just haven't narrowed our focus to the point where we can specialize.

I have my own company. Need more though...need to fully cover all bases and make myself recession proof.

Then live far below your means. Pay off any debt you have and invest the rest. I spent most of my 20s and early 30s living like I made 1/4 what I really did. The folks at DLJ even had a term for it. They called it "fuck you money". The goal was to get enough money to say "fuck you" to your boss and walk out.

Yeah, I like to have fun in the present though and when the shit hits the fan, I'll adapt. haha. Fuck you money would be nice, I'm familiar with the term.

I want more passive income (automated). I am actually turning down work right now because I would rather fuck around on the weekends than work all day.
