    Because it will take a while to mesh the bench, and the Blazers won't need HCA as the 6th seed against Golden State, anyhow.

    Because Portland didn't win their division and didn't have the next best record after the three divisional winners.

    The other teams just won more games.

    Because they played better.

    I don't know. Perhaps they were just a better team.

    Jesus Christ. Maybe they drafted better. They were healthy. Maybe they made a trade with Kahn a few years ago, or free agents go there because they don't have a state income tax, or it was just blind luck. Does it really matter?

    Are you just going to keep asking 'why' no matter what I say?

    It's slightly annoying.
