The Bulls "War Room" - Poster Mock

All Bulls Fans:

Justbball.com will be putting together 2 mocks drafts as part of an ON-SITE contest, shortly after the NBA lottery Draft on May 26th.

One mock will be done by the moderators/admins and the other will be by the posters of JBB. It's going to be a little contest to see who can get a more accurate mock for draft day. Please remember, It's all for fun. [IMG]

As you can see, a few posters have been asked to help with pulling together the posters mock draft. We need your help and input to do this, so now we're coming to you!

Here's what we need (i.e.- the RULES):

1. Posters interested in having thier draft thoughts considered should submit, up to 5 names of players that you think your team will want to draft on draft day. Remember that these need to be realistic, not pipe dreams. Up to 5 players that you believe your team is scouting and may take in the drafts first round.

2. For those who are really into mocks, you may submit to us via PM (please) your entire first round mock. It must be complete however. We realize that this is going to be more difficult, given that the lottery places are yet to be filled. However, we'll accept submissions up to midnight, May 28th EST. (After that, anything recieved will have to wait to be included in any updates we make after releasing the mock)

3. If you are going to propose a trade with any of your draft picks (Maximum limit = 1 draft related trade proposal), JUSTIFICATION must be provided. It must be reasonable and work under the CBA. Any trades proposed without this information WILL BE DISCARDED without further thought.

This announcement will be posted and stickied in all team forums as well, so please try to participate if you have ideas. We want the posters mock to be a quality one that can stand side by side with the mods mock.

Thanks and we look forward to your comments.

Those with full mocks, can submit them up to May 27th VIA PM, to og15, wtwalker77 or hagrid.

Now who should we take?

Bulls won the #3 pick in the NBA Draft and we know Okafor is gonna be taken. Clippers, who have the #2 pick, will mostly trade it down or draft Shaun Livingston. Should we stick with Luol Deng or gamble on Dwight Howard?

If I was GM i'd go for Deng, its almost like a guarantee. I dont want any more project players. I'm hoping the clips do trade down so we can get Deng.

I'm kinda hoping they draft Dwight Howard just because 1) He has a lot of potential 2) Gives us Chicago fans something to look forward to next season 3) Turn this franchise around.

Deng might get us maybe 5-10 extra wins and we do need a SF, but keep in mind we can turn Howard into a SF (look how good Dwyane Wade is playing at the point)

I would like to see Howard be picked by the Bulls. Chicago needs a francise player and Howard could be it. Im not totally sold on Deng. Yes you guys NEED a SF but im just not impressed by Deng at all.

Well there are 2 options that I think seem realistic and beneficial for the franchise.

We either draft Deng with the purpose of keeping him, or trade down for Childress and a vet. I'm not sure what I want the Bulls to do exactly in the offseason, so im not sure which would be a better route.

I heard Deng has a great work ethic which is what Pax wants but I haven't seen him THAT much this year. Only a couple duke games I watched he looked pretty good. Ive heard so many comparisons about him though, and some people compared him to the following players:

Donyell Marshall, Glenn Robinson, Carmelo Anthony, Paul Pierce

What do you guys think?

if the clips pick Shaun Livingston we're gonna have to decide between Howard and Deng which is actually a tough decision cause Howard has lots of trade value if you wanted to trade him and has lots of potential but Deng fills a team need.

Deng's biggers comparison is to Grant Hill, he even worked out with him, and tries to pattern so many things he does after Hill, he's got better length than Hill, that's about all, but he could be really special.

3rd pick for Bulls

Well Bulls had 20% havin 1st draft, but got into 3rd.
Probaly Orlando will select Emeka Okafor at 1, and Clippers look for a PG at 2nd ?! (not sure in here), and we take who at 3rd ? Id say Loul Deng IF Clippers dont take him.

Today I read an article in chicagotribune bout involvin the 3rd pick in trade together with some other players and try to take somebody like: Jamison or Abdur Rahim.

LOL i remember Kobe's comparison was mentioned as Grant Hill in an old video of the Mcdonalds All American dunk contest, so if Deng turns out like either of em I'll be happy

Jamison would be pointless IMO on this team. He can score, I'll give him that, but everyone knows his defense isn't up to par. I would like a player who could defend. If the Bulls keep the pick, I would say draft Luol Deng.

Bad Luck BJ

Did anyone notice that this is the second time BJ Armstrong
has represented the Bulls in the draft and came up short.

Dont get me wronge i love BJ back when he played with the bulls
but does anybody remember the time when he played aganist MJ in the 98 playoffs and BJ called out the Bulls in defeat.

Why Have him represent US the fans

lol the selection is totally random and I have a problem thinking we got the third pick because of our representative giving off bad vibes or something

Didn't he represent us last year? We were supposed to get the 7th pick, we didn't fall short.

Come on now, its totally random, don't place this on "bad luck"

BJ looks as he haven't aged since his playing years. He reminds of that kid from the "Smart Guy" on Disney Channel.

Haha, I get the same impression. The Bulls sure could use him now.

I think we still should have someone else
represent the Bulls rather than BJ, and yeah i know
he was there last year but we weren't in the top 3
and had a chance at the first pick. Why not have John Paxson
represent, He gave the bulls thier third title. he means more than BJ.

I wish these two guys were still play'n with the Bulls
