Probable Starting Line-ups

[IMG] [IMG] Quentin Richardson/Josh Howard
[IMG] [IMG] Corey Maggette/Antoine Walker
[IMG] [IMG] Elton Brand/Dirk Nowitzki
[IMG] [IMG] Chris Kaman/Danny Fortson
==================================
Injuries-
LAC- C Olden Polynice Neck IL
PG Eddie House Foot IL
C Josh Moore Back Out

DAL- C Shawn Bradley Back spasms Questionable
SG Michael Finley Toe Questionable
SF Tariq Abdul-Wahad Knee Out
PG Jon Stefansson Ankle Out
===================================
Notes:
LAC- They will challenge for a playoff spot.

DAL- They are a funny team, with Antoine Walker turning out to be the best fit for this quirky group. And wait till Dirk Nowitzki gets comfortable again.
*thanks to Sportsline for the notes

Key Bench PLayers:
[IMG]
<ul>
[*]Wilcox is an emerging Young star in this leauge, he is averaging 9.9points a game and 5.2 rebounds
[IMG]
<ul>
[*] Antawn Jamison is possibly the best sixth man on the team and would be starting on almost any other team, he took a minimized role here so he could play on a team with a chance to win it all, he is averaging 14.8 points a game and 6.7 rebounds a game
=====================================
Key Player:
[IMG]
<ul>
[*]Brand is going up against a hobbled Dirk Nowitzki, who plays pretty nonchalant defense anyways, he needs to take advantage of this and attack the rim.
[IMG]
• Dirk is still feeling the effects of his Ankle injury, how will he respond, only he knows...he must hit his outside shot, he needs to keep Brand out on the perimeter, not down low.
======================================
Keys to the Game:

LAC- The Clippers are coming off a lose and their up and rising triple team (Q rich, C Maggs, and Brand) must all attack the basket tonight, and dont let Walker find his stroke from the outside, they need to go at Dirk right away with Brand to see if his ankle is now 100%. Quentin Richardson must have a nice shooting night for any hope of a victory. Wilcox and the other bench players will also have to step it up a bit.

DAL- Walker needs to hit his shots, and if he is missing them he needs to stop shooting, he hurt them in the Boston game. THey need to try to run, attack the boards, and get as many second chance points as possible, if they sleep one bit on he Clippers it can turn into hell for the Mavericks.
=========================================
Prediction:
THe Clips will hang in this one to the end, but i dont see them pulling it out.. Clips lose 100-96

Once again, nice preview VA.

I also have to give this one to the Mavs. They are at home where they have been deadly. Should be a fairly close game.

Mavs by 13.

Clippers are killing the Mavs right now, on their own court. 77-60 in the 3rd. Clippers are looking very scary, I just think they need a veteran leader(point guard) and you could make this team a lot better. Hopefully, they won't pull a "Lakers" and let the team get back in the game.

*EDIT*

Mavs are deadly with those 3 balls, 82-71 Clippers now, Mavs are creeping back on them.

Clippers win it by the final score of 115-105.

Clippers were led down the stretch by Brand's 22-20 performance, Maggette added 22 and Q also pitched in with 26 and 13 rebounds of his own.

Brand tore this game up and Mavs are on a 3 game skid I believe...

Brand put up 22 points, 20 rebounds, 6 ast, an d3 blocks. Only 4 ast away from a triple double.

Box Score

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS (Ticker) -- Weakened by the flu, Dallas Mavericks coach Don Nelson missed the game. The Los Angeles Clippers made his players look weak.

Corey Maggette scored 26 points and the Clippers pounded their way to a 115-105 victory over the Mavericks, who have lost a season-high three straight games.

Quentin Richardson had 25 points and 13 rebounds and Elton Brand had 22 and 20 for Los Angeles, which had 20 offensive boards, including eight in the fourth quarter to turn back a rally by Dallas and snap a six-game road losing streak. </div>

Full Recap

EDIT:

I was right about the 3 game skid, thats exactly what SC said lol

Brand is too strong inside for Dallas.When he is on his game he can't be stopped in the post.More so when playing a team like Dallas who have no good post defenders to contend him.
