will the NFC Championship Game Curse be around for next? or will the Eagles finally make it to the super bowl? will they not? my guess is that this is the last shot for Philly before the NFC East gets to be out of hand. Of course TO and Kearse will be great additions...but will they be enough? of course w/ Kearse always being a threat to offenses, he is also very injury prone(as we have seen the last couple of years) TO may whine a lot...but as long as he stays out of trouble off the field and plays the game of football the way he does, i do not care. another curse w/ the Eagles is the fact that they cant win on opening day. i dont think theyve won on opening day for 4 years(all 4 they made the playoffs) i honestly dont care if they win or not on opening day. But seriously, how far will the EAGLES get THIS year?
if they dont win opening day it'll give the giants spirit!!!!!!!! i think that they get out in the 1st round by a team.
thers no way the eales will make it to the nfc championship again. they'll eighther lose the first round or not make the playoffs.Theyre not the same team they used to be.
i think theyll get bye week like they did last year... NFC isnt very strong so anything can happen. i think itll be a divisional playoff exit for us...
no way... heres the division: Philadelphia Eagles 10-6 New York Giants 8-8 Dallas Cowboys 7-9 Washington Redskins 5-11
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>no way... heres the division: Philadelphia Eagles 10-6 New York Giants 8-8 Dallas Cowboys 7-9 Washington Redskins 5-11</div> I know everyone here is a big fan of John Clayton (insert Cowboy71 eye roll here), but I had to mention it. Today, he came out with his power rankings and the above 5-11 Redskins made his top 10....number 9 I think. The Redskins undoubtedly have to be the toughest team to gauge based on everyone's predictions. A 3 game slide for the Boys, eh nflfan? Did they overachieve last year, or did the Hambrick to Jones downgrade bring them down? At this point, I'm still sticking with 9-7 or 10-6 at best.
yes...well that 3 game slide comes from the division... the division gets tougher and they wont win as many in the division.... if i remember correctly..they finished the series in their division 5-1... this year(for the division) i expect them to do poorly, to get swept by the eagles and sweep the giants but split w/ skins... thats where the 3 games come from
and its not like theyre gonna ba blow outs...theyre gonna be very close oh and dont be surprised if the giants do to the cowboys what they did to them last year on MNF oh and GF...after looking at the schedule(yes, something i didnt do for some reason, i knew who we played just not in the order...) i feel that the eagles will officially be starting 1-0... losing on opening day is something ill miss....its the only time im actually able to get ready for a loss(except in the NFC Championship Game)... but ill still be ready
are u sure they'll win i feel a wager coming thru maybe u'll havta were a jason sehorn jersey i have to school the day after they win
Washington is the big unknown in the NFC East. Phili will put a good team on the field as they do every year. The real question will be team chemistry and those lucky breaks that can make or break a season. The NFC east is easily one of the toughest divisions in football for 2004.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>The NFC east is easily one of the toughest divisions in football for 2004.</div> i cant say its the toughest...but maybe one of clsest talent wise.... it will be the toughest in maybe 2 years
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>yes...well that 3 game slide comes from the division... the division gets tougher and they wont win as many in the division.... if i remember correctly..they finished the series in their division 5-1... this year(for the division) i expect them to do poorly, to get swept by the eagles and sweep the giants but split w/ skins... thats where the 3 games come from</div> I would have to agree that we probably won't be lucky enough to go 5-1 in the division again, but I have to think about games we lost and shouldn't have last year. We were clearly a better team than Atlanta-less Vick and New Orleans off the top of my head. I look at our roster and while will not make any leaps and bounds this year talent-wise, we did make small upgrades to most positions.... QB, RB, OL, DE, P, and possibly WR. We may lose a little in CB, but that is a little early to tell right now and will probably be a push. The biggest improvement you will see is the line - on both sides of the ball. I personally think that we overachieved last year, so a slightly improved team should offset that somewhat and make for a 9-7 or 10-6 team.
screw boston and chitown, they are suffering baseball curses(although i love baseball 3rd among any sport) which is a dead sport. they had the bulls, and NE has the pats and celtics. this is a town with 4 rings in a billion years, and were not lovable losers, we dont even get the credit for staying "loyal" like them.
