Everyone knows that only Chuck Norris can cover 25% of the Football Field (or the Earth, for that matter).

Polamalu is one of the best safetys in the NFL, he can blitz, cover, and makes big plays, I don't see why your putting him down.

I think Pololmulu is the 3rd best safety in the nfl: 1. Ed Reed (when healthy hes the best) 2. Rodney Harrison (is always there to make a key play) 3. Troy Polmulu

Ah man, you had to go there? That's not very nice, there's obviously an ethnicity to the hair thing... I believe Hawaiian. I do realize that he could cut it, but if he doesn't want to, it shouldn't matter. As far as safeties in the league, no one diagnosis and closes in on a play faster than Troy Polamalu. Think Ed Reed is a bad man, but I think Troy has more potential.
Too bad Palomalu wasn't on offense. If you tried to pull his hair down to make a tackle then there will be a new kind of horse collar tackle. Just think about it.

I know plenty that manage to keep their hair under control. If the steelers wins the super bowl, will TP get any endorsements to be a shameless pitchman for a haircare company? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2005)</div><div class='quotemain'>As far as safeties in the league, no one diagnosis and closes in on a play faster than Troy Polamalu. Michael Boulware has even more potential/upside than even Polamalu.

Nah, I'm sure he won't. If I had his ability and money, you could say whatever you wanted and I'm sure it really wouldn't make much of a difference. As for MB having more potential than Troy, I would say we have to agree to disagree.

I get a little bit of a kick from the notion that somewhere Michael and Marcus Vick or Turd Orifice is reading this forum and yelling, "WHY WON'T THAT DOLFANDALE LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" I'd like to think that one of them has my avitar on his dart board.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2005)</div><div class='quotemain'>As for MB having more potential than Troy, I would say we have to agree to disagree.</div> The key word for my theory is potential. TP is already receiving accolades therefore his potential is cresting and is the more accomplished player. MB has been in the league 2 years and was a LB in college (Polamalu was a safety at USC) as such its not quite time to judge them on an equal footing perhaps in a year or two. I will say TP has taken an average at best secondary & made it better. The D backfield has been Pburgh's achilles heel for years.
First off, let me say that I think that their individual impact for their respective teams is such that it is immeasureable. It is unlikely that either one will have gaudy stats such as picks or sacks. Troy has 3 years, Michael has 2 so they're similar in experience, but not exactly the same. I hardly believe that Troy's potential is cresting either. Or at least I'm not sure how anyone could possibly know if it were, so it's just a theory either way. My guess is that some people would think that Troy is getting better press because he's on an East Coast team, but it's also hard for me to believe that anyone that has watched both players, they wouldn't think that Troy makes a stronger impact. Also, I'm not so sure you should be giving him all the credit. Hope is very good and young Safety and Ike Taylor is a very athletic, somewhat raw, coming into his own, speedy cornerback. Yes, the secondary has been a point of weakness in the past, but I'm not so sure it is now and I don't think it's just that Troy is a great player. He can only cover so much of the field.
