Well, KG tried his best, but without the full "Big 3," Minnesota couldn't do it. I felt too much pressure was put on the new role players Minnesota brought in who were accustomed to the playoff pressure and couldn't keep consistent play throughout this round of the playoffs. But to their credit, almost every one had a shining moment in the playoffs, hopefully this will boost their confidence for next year where they can hopefully take it all the way. It was a great effort by Sprewell and KG, I think KG got the monkey off his back and will come back stronger than ever next year, and once again get the MVP trophy. The season was still a major success in my eyes. Finishing w/ the best record in the better of the two divisions, and making it all the way to the western conference finals by winning a HUGE game 7 versus Sac.

Anyways, what was everyones favorite 'Sota moment this year? Mines would have to be when Cassell hit the shot over Christie in game 2. And KG's classic effort in game 7. Let's hear everyone favorite. Keep your heads up 'Sota fans, the title will come soon.

That sick dunk KG did when he crossed over Webber. That was awesome.
Oh and also when he caught Peja's shot...that was nice too. Man, that was a great series between TW and Sac.

The moment the Timberwolves knocked off the Nuggets and Kings.

I feel sorry for Garnett. If Malone and Payton didn't sign with the Lakers for a gay reason, the Timberwolves would of won it all. Shaq and Kobe wouldn't be enough.

Yea, when he caught peja's shot, i had a strong feeling that the game was over. That just set the tone for minnesota. Another thing I loved this season was all denials KG had after the foul was called, not letting the opponent putting the ball in the bucket. Anyone remember the dunk on Nene in game 5? That was one of my favorite KG facials this year.

Spreewell's ridiculous games. He was your teams MVP this playoffs. Congratulations however, you join us kings fans in not only hating the lakers but asking the question of whether or not you were healthy what kind of effort you could put up. I believe if the kings were at 100% and the wolves were at 100% the kings would win, however we took a lot out of you guys in that series, like sam cassell. That's why the lakers had an easier time with you. It's the same thing that dallas did last year. they capitalized on webber being injured and got by us in 7, you guys did the same thing and also got injured. The thing i have noticed over and over again, is whoever stays healthy wins the title. San antonio did it last year, and the lakers and pistons will probably do it this year, they have no one seriously injured, we all did. there ya go.

i wanna see kandi gone. but the rest of the roster i would like to see in place. But yugoslavia, i think more people would agree that garnett catching peja's shot was more amazing than webber "dunking on" KG (even tho he didnt challenge the shot). oh well, at least KG still has his ankles.

Great season by the timberwolves, it ended on the most diappointing note for me personally, watching Sam end his season in jeans, a button up, & Air Force Ones instead of a T-wolves uniform helping the wolves fight.

Anyway I think we seen the birth of KG to another level. He took over big games most nights when he needed too, had some amazing playoff performance. And even tho the wolves want be winning the title Wolves fans should look for this team to be a championship contender probably even after Cassell & Sprewell leave because of the birth of the playoff version of KG. Anyway the Wolves will mos def be back into the position to win a title next year.

Of course they have to make a few adjustments. An up grade at center of course not only because of the Lakers but the west in general. I dont think you can get out the west with at least a legitimate center. I love EJ & Madsen's hustle, & I dont think they get enuff credit for helping the wolves get to the WCF but they dont have the skill level that you need to have in a center to win a championship. Madsen isnt even a center, he is surpose to be a backup PF(even undersized for that position as well), who plays about 10 minutes a game to provide energy when needed. But he had to become an everyday backup Center, due to the wolves lack of a center. And Ervin Johnson had to become a starter, but he is way past his best year, production wise.

So I think after making sure Sprewell, & Hassell and Hoiberg come back, Kevin Mchale is going to have to find an answer to the Center problem. And then if Hudson, getting a backup for Cassell at the point. And then the Wolves will be back.

Best twolves moment of the Playoffs- Cassell & KG combining for 70pts in game 1 of the playoffs. I think that really set the tone for the wolves entire playoff run, especially with the past playoff failures of the Wolves franchise. If the Wolves would have lost game 1 of the playoffs, alot of people whould took that "here we go again attitude". But with those two really stepping up, it put this team in a mind frame of "this is a new season with new hope/heart/pride" & I think they took that attitude with them thru the entire playoffs.

That type of mind frame allowed them to bounce back & win a big game 4 in Dever after getting blown out on the road in Denver, that mind frame allowed them to bounce back in game 2 vs the Kings, that mind frame allowed them to win a big game seven vs the Kings. That mindset allowed them to bounce back vs the Lakers twice & make this series competive even without their floor general.

So alot of people wont remember game 1 of the playoffs when they look back at this wolves run. But I think that game set a winning ton & mindset for the entire playoffs.

Best t-wolves moment of the season- Cassell getting named to the all-star team of course. But I also did repect & enjoyed KG getting his 1st MVP award for a well deserved season.

No, because Peja had the ball half-stripped so he just barely had any strength to shoot it in the air. On the other hand, Cwebb with a vertical of .5 inches [IMG] was able to dunk on KG, the M V P. It was too nasty.

Rush just killed us. Only lost by 6, but doesn't matter, we lost. Just too much for us. We really should have took advantage when Shaq was out with foul trouble and Malone had 4 fouls, so they had nobody to guard the lane, we sould have drove it in everytime. FT's definitely kept us in the game, but what hurt us was TO. Good luck Lakers to whoever comes out of the East.

You know it sucks to lose, especially to the Lakers, but I'm not disapointed about our season.

Nobody thought we would do as good as we did. We came up with a #1 seed, made it past the 1st round, KG grabbed MVP, and made it to Western Conference Finals. To me, that's one hell of a season. We played as a team, it was mainly the big 3 of Sam, KG, and Spree, but we had our role players who did what they needed to do. Nice season Wolves, just go out and get 'em next year.

My favorite moment- Basically just all of our accomplishments we had this season. Whether it was KG winning MVP, Cassell and KG going to the All-Star game, #1 seed, or getting past 1st round, all were great accomplishments.

    Nice season T-Wolves.

What can you say... We lost to the team that some "experts" predicted would go 72-10 for the season. We kept it close even without both our pointguards. All the players, coaches, staff and fans can keep their head up and be proud of this season.

I can't help but think that the injuries to Troy Hudson is what cost us a chance to go to the finals. The obvious fact being that he would've stood in as a starter for Sam in the Lakers-series and probably played well. But also if he had been playing more games in the regular season, Sam could have gotten more rest during that time and perhaps not get injured in the playoffs. I'm no doctor, but something tells me that a fitter body is less injury prone.

Fav moment Pre-Preseason.... Being really stoked about the trades and then logging on the computer and seeing that KG had signed a new contract. I jumped around the apartment for a good half hour in joy.

Hard to contest it when you're beneath the rim.

Actually he clearly shot it with the ball in the air, as Garnett snatched it. Stop lieing to get your points across. Garnett's crossover on Webber was more emphatic than Webber's dunk on basically nobody since nobody contested the shot, nor did anyone put any pressure on him.

My Favorite moment was when Sam Cassell hit that clutch shot against Sacramento. I think it was game 5. After hitting the shot he showed my favorite celebration of all time. When he showed everyone he has a huge pair.

actually, the ball was not half stripped as peja got a clean look at the rim and shot the ball w/ one hand but was too weak to get the shot off over KG, so as a result, KG decided it would be nice to snatch it out in the middle of the air. cwebbs so-called dunk on KG was not even contested, and i dont care if it was yao ming or shaq in that position, no one would be able to contest it, as chungster mentioned. i forgot to add another favorite moment of mine, peja's shot gettting blocked by hassell at the end of game 3 when the kings thought they had a comeback in them, but once again failed to close a game out. Very similiar to game 2 might i add.

It's great when you have trash-talking from those of us who have been eliminated. I hope we continue throughout the post season. Yugoslavia, I personally don't remember C Web dunking on KG ( [IMG] ), but the cross-over that left Webber guarding a fan in the first row has been showed time and time again. MY favorite moment, and what Kenny said was OUR finals, was when we beat the Kings to move to the Conference Finals. I believe Webber and Bibby felt the most pain with the elimination. Doug wanted to have another series so he didn't have to go on "house arrest" with the little lady. Peja seemed like "[IMG] whatcha gonna do?" That was the series that added validation to our teams season. If we would've just beaten Denver, we wouldn't have been respected because of our seeding.

It was a great season for the Wolves. KG got his MVP, Sam got his All Star status and Spree got his redemption. They reached the WCF after years of losing in the first round. It just so happened that you faced a team with four future HOF'ers. Plus of course, Sam went down with an injury at the worst time.

Fave moment was KG's block on Peja. Or was it a steal coz he literally snatched it in midair? [IMG]

This was truly a great season but I really thought the Wolves could go all the way but atleast they got out of the first round. The Wolves will win the championship next year.

KG was just phenominal the whole regular season and post season. When the team needed KG, he was there. Spree was a spark of energy. He would be driving and was a major contributor. He played great ball when Sam went down. He knew the team needed him to play his best and he did. Sam was also great even if he got injured. He tried to play thru it and showed alot of heart. He came up big in clutch situations. The team would have never gone so far without him. Trenton was also great at the defensive end and sometimes on offense. He stopped Carmelo and Peja and slowed down Kobe with his defense. It was a shame that he wasn't on a all-defensive team but what was worst was he only got one vote. The bench was also very important. Hoiberg, Madsen, Olowokandi, Wally and Troy (even if he didn't play in the playoffs) were all very important to our success.

My favorite moment was every second of the Wolves season but I liked KG's 3pt shots and his block on Peja.

i dont think that SOME twolves fans not ALL should complain about cassell being hurt, because even though the twolves may have beaten the lakers with him, look at what the kings have had to deal with year in and year out and not just in the playoffs but throughout the regular season
