Let's play a game... Since a lot of people seem to think that Brett Favre is washed up and should retire, let's list the teams in this league who would rather have Favre under center than their current QB.

I'm not talking about a long term solution, as Favre will probably retire this year or next. I'm just saying, if you wanted to win now...this year...and had a choice between Favre and any team's current QB, which teams would take Favre?

I'll start out with the obvious candidates...

    Bears
    Cardinals
    Vikings
    Browns
    Bills

Who else would replace their current QB for 2006 with Favre?

Can you give reasoning. Grossman's career QB rating might be lower than Joey Harrington. If the Bears want to "win" now Favre would be the better player. No doubt about that. If they want future than Grossman is your guy.

I think once Favre decides he's done that will be it. He won't give as much deliberation to playing for another team as Marino did w/ the Vikings.

Bottom line; No more deals with or for Brett. ROFL.

I agree. I know Favre won't ever play for anyone else. I just think this is a fun way to show that the "washed up" Brett Favre is still a better/more desirable choice than half the starting QBs in the league right now.

It is always like that with older atheletes vs younger atheletes though
If you actually look at list of teams, very few would want farve. He isnt good as he was, he wont get any better, and he doesnt have enough left to win it all, so he just doesnt fit with any team. That is, unless he has some deals in place i dont know about.

I'llgive you Carr and Warner being better but not Kitna or Brooks. Brooks is very inconsistent and has always been all over the field. Plus if you give Favre, Randy Moss it's a great match. Kitna has had one good year in his career. I think he's a solid backup but nothing more. I rate him up their with Trent Dilfer but not top 20 QB in the NFL.

Brooks makes a lot of mistakes, but now so does farve, tiebreaker is age and upside.

Yeah but we're talking for ONE season. Brooks has always been consistent with his mistake. Favre has actually been able to make plays. Favre will make more and give you bigger plays than what Aaron Brooks can give you. I'll take Favre to Moss over Brooks to Moss.

Put down the crack pipe and take two steps back...

Add the Redskins to the list of teams who would be better off with Favre. Who is Tampa's starting QB this year?

The Ravens no more since they added a slightly younger QB than Favre.

From what we saw from him last year, he has a lot of work to do. Also once again if Favre had the talent of the Chargers around him, he'd put up 28 and 18 this year and probably throw for 4,000 yards or close too it. GB doesn't have that talent. Rivers will probaby be luck to throw for 18 TD's and 3,000 yards.

I think any team that would like to have a young QB sit on the bench for a year or two to learn, Favre would be great vet to put in there. That being said, Chicago would be a horrible fit as Grossman is trying to settle in as the starter.

The Bills? I thought they had a huge prospect in Losman! [IMG]

Of course Favre is going to be a desirable QB for many teams in the league, but the complaints are still valid. Favre does make too many mistakes, he is a step slower, and is not the Favre of old. Is he a good vet? Yep, but I don't think he's the guy that can single handedly carry a team like he used to do.

How many QBs in the NFL can these days? Manning? Anyone else?
