So, the Blues are in talks with Tesco about their Ground move. Do you think Everton will be coming out in blue stripes (the logo of Tesco's Value Brand). Will they be the cheaper alternative for those who can't afford the quality brands.

I can see where Kenwright is coming from with their proposed move to Kirkby though. If you can't be the top team in a city then the answer is to move out of that city and be the top team in your town. Will they be calling themselves Kirbyton or Keverton. The good thing is that Goodison could be turned into a multi-storey car park for Liverpool fans. [IMG]

And there was us thinking our spy Agent Peter Johnson was gonna ruin the blueslime when all along it was the luvvie himself. Take a bow Mr Kenwright you just couldn't make this up( can I have the lead role in the play). I wonder if they'll move the Legend that never was from outside the Tesco doors with his can of Special Brew now that they're working together. I can see the Everton squad bag packing for funds. Everton The Peoples club souvenirs now found in aisle 27 next to the dented cans and broken biscuits.

    POOR BITTER BLUENOSE

(Sung to the Tune of "Poor Scouser Tommy".......)

Can I tell you the story of a poor team
Who were sent far away from their home
To live in the styx out near Knowsley
Where only the cattle do roam

They were banished to a lower division
Had no hope of seeing far foreign lands
And the fans swarmed around in their hundreds
with Tesco plastic bags in their hands

Oh a battle it started next morning
    Over at aisle number 1
    Oh those poor Evertonian Bastards
Were scrapping over the last currant bun

As they lay on the aisles of the Tesco, Tesco, Tesco,
Knocking over the cakes and the bread
    and the bread!
As they lay on the aisles of the Tesco
These were the last words they said

    Oh we are the Evertonians
And our ground is made of wood
    We're horrible bitter Blueshite Bastards
And we've never been that good

We support a team that's dressed in blue
    It's a team that no-one knows
It's a team that?s sponsored by Tesco cause that's where we buy our clothes?.

    1, 2? 1, 2, 3?. 1, 2, 3, 4??Pound off!

i think he means what happened near the start of the season. you do realise that tescos are fast becoming one of the richest companies around dont you? they can pump more money into everton than this new american guy can pump into liverpool if they chose to. they may have cheap brands but there is no doubt that they are the richest supermarket by far

The thing is Everton have a rich history and Kenwright is taking them out of their home town. Its not a point of money its stripping their fans of dignity. I know many everton fans and they are appalled by this idea!
