What do you thinks think the future of glenn robinson is? In an ideal world we could run iverson at 1, iguodala at 2, robinson at 3. Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world
First of all, willie green is at the shooting guard position. Next, Billy King is probably gonna trade Robinson next season because he wants to make more room for the development of the Sixers younger players such as Iguodala or Korver. And yes, who do not live in the ideal world.
What do you base this thread on, court positioning or an in depth assesment? If in depth, then there is no future for him, he is a has been, or in some eyes a never been. He lack so much counting agility, and is slacking in the offensive mind set as well. I never liked that we picked him up, and still don't, so I'm waiting until the next offseason (when he'll be a Sixer no more) or if something miraculous happens this offseason. *Crosses fingers*
Glenn Robinson will not be in Philly for sure the season after the upcomingseason, either he will start playing good and the Sixers will trade him or the Sixer wont offer to re sign him next offseason when he is a free agent.
I think it all depends on how Robinson does this season. I mean when Big Dog actually played a game last season, He was awesome. I remember one game he came out like 16/18. If Big Dog plays well this season, we`ll keep him for probally another 3 years. If not, I would send him packing.

Keeping Robinson around long term slows down the developement of the younger wing players because Robinson needs alot of minutes + shots to be effective. And probably never except a small role on the sixers to allow the romm for development in the young players. If Glenn Robinson plays well the 1st half of the season, then that raises his trade value for the febuary deadline. And you will probably hear alot of trade rumors involving Robinson to a team that needs some added perimeter scoring for the 2nd half of the season and playoffs. And I think the sixers will bit when the 1st legit trade offer comes along, probably a deal that includes a young player or an expiring contract. But Philly wont recieve any legit offers until the deadline. Right now, Robinson's market value isnt that high coming off the season he had last year. And the fact that he is a one-dimisionial offensive player.
Havent we discussed this 1000 times but oh well...Grob is an alright player but for the sixers he has just been a bum riding the bench which im pretty sure if he doesnt step it up this year he will be in a diff uni...but hopefully he will turn things around and turn out good for us..maybe even if he plays alright people may want him and we can trade for a better player... but if he is healthy im pretty sure he will get some PT this year..probably alot unless he pisses off Coach Obie...
