So, supposedly the Bucks are on notice that if they don't look like a contender in the first third or so of the season, they will have to trade Giannis. New York supposedly has dibs, but can they offer the most? I kind of see KAT as a negative asset, and he would be their main piece. I don't foresee (or even particularly want) a Giannis-Dame reunion, but I'm curious what would be the best offers out there. Houston? Toronto? I mean, New Jersey could probably offer a really good package but Giannis would probably veto that trade...

Actually the Jazz or Thunder could put together a monster package for Giannis but I'd bet on him landing with the Knicks as he seems to want to be there....

I think Giannis and Dame would work better under Billups than it did under Rivers.

To be honest though, all that is going to matter is if Giannis and Dame want a Dame-Giannis reunion. If one of the two does not - it will never happen. If they both want it - maybe it will.

Not sure we would be at that level of contending that Giannis would want. We do have their picks to dangle, and we also have some of the best young talent which could tempt MIL. I’m not sure I would write Portland out, could be interesting to watch it unfold.

Giannis is the anti-ball movement guy. If he's coming in, they would have to change the style of play that they've been putting in for several years now. I don't think he'd be a great fit in OKC either.
If I'm giving up that much for one guy, I want him to still have way more years than Giannis.

I’m probably in minority but I like what we have building. The journey is the fun part for me, seeing players grow and watching the team go through the trials and tribulation is my enjoyment.

That said I wouldn’t hate it

Those Buck picks and swaps would hold a lot of value to Bucks. Might cost a little less for us than other teams

I think that song and dance has been played and danced out. Giannis will want to go to a legit contender. We would have to be in the playoffs for him to even consider it and making the playoffs this year is a big if. Even with my optimistic opinion, I know its not a lock.

Agreed. And agreed about OKC. They've certainly got the assets but I don't see them being interested. They did that once with Paul George - never again.

Imagine if Houston can pair KD and Giannis? Then what happens when they still lose?

Put me down in the category of hoping he forces his way out of Milwaukee and the Blazers can pick up some nice pieces as a 3rd party in exchange for giving the Bucks back some of their draft capital.

It's funny: whatever the Blazers do will almost certainly affect what the Bucks look for in return for Giannis. If the Blazers keep the Bucks picks, then the Bucks will want at least one very good player for Giannis and try not to tank. If the Blazers give back the Bucks picks, then they'll go full tank and prioritize draft picks. This suggests that the Bucks will try to involve the Blazers.

It would be SHOCKING if Giannis is not a Blazer in 2026-2027
