I swear, our offensive coordinator has no clue what he is doing and hasn't for almost a decade. Our moron defensive coordinator covers Dez Bryant with single coverage and a safety in the 4th quarter. Our QB has played like a rookie all year. Yet, our dumbass GM never acquires extra draft picks.
I especially liked the 3 man rush at the end to make sure the cowboys won. Gillbride and fewell both suck ass and need to go. And if tc insists on keeping them he can go too. They've been a .500 team for the last 5 years
The coordinators are terrible, no doubt there. The Giants suck in the RZ because they have ZERO creativity. Run, run, and more run. And Fewell was a joke on that last drive. Let's see, I will rush 3 or 4 only NEVER BLITZ, and yet somehow I will still have Rolle one on one with Dez on 3rd and 7 and 3rd and 5. It is almost comical. Seeing them rushing 3 guys had me flipping out. How is it even possible you rush 3 or tops 4, and yet STILL have a S Rolle one on one with Dez? My lord that is a terrible design on D. Blitz a little if you are going to have Rolle singled on Dez play after play when only rushing 3 or 4 anyway. Simply unreal to watch Rolle get abused on that last drive play after play.
I swear, I look at this team and wonder how the F they won 2 SuperBowls. I hate our WR core and TE. I said all along they should have traded Nicks. The Myers signing was dumb from day one. Dumbass Eli is constantly fixated on Cruz. Not to mention, how is it the dumb bastard still can't get plays off on time after 10 years in the league. I swear, he's retarded.
Here is the bottom line on the Giants, and Coughlin, and Eli. Outside of two magic carpet ride SB titles, they have literally done nothing. ZERO playoff wins outside of those two years. Now have missed the playoffs 4 of the last 5 seasons. And have missed the playoffs 2 straight seasons. Now they get a huge amount of slack because of those two titles, and 100% rightfully so, but outside of those two seasons this team has done nothing under Coughlin and Eli in their 9 full years together. And BTW...Eli has been TERRIBLE this season. It is almost funny now.
Nicks is gone this summer, no shot they re-sign him. Cruz and Randle will be fine. The issue to me is the lines. Their DL is overrated and has been the past two seasons. And their OL has been terrible and has needed a youth infusion for a while, and reaching for Pugh in round 1 was not the solve all. It is better they lost this game, just sucks because it was the Cowboys. They were not making the playoffs anyway, so we want L's to get a better pick at this point. Figure lower top 10 pick, and focus on the lines if you can, especially the OL. That's my opinion at least. They need a lot of youth added. This team has gotten old quickly. And now it is on Reese to get it done in a draft where we should be top 10 in every round.
Pugh is going to be really good. The problem with the line is the rest of the dumbasses can't play. The OLB's suck beyond belief.
I like Pugh also, but that was a reach in the 1st round, no doubt about it. Even if he is a solid RT...it was still a reach. LB's...LOL. Reese doesn't believe in LB's, which drives me crazy. And yes, the OL needs work. That and the DL would be my focus this summer...especially the OL. Must add talented youth there. To me this is Reese's last shot. He has really been bad since that one great draft he had, especially at drafting bigs. Now he gets a top 10 pick in every round. It is on you now Jerry. If you fail you should be fired IMO.
I'm still wondering how Moore was a beast in the pre-season at DE and he can't get a mother f'n snap rushing the passer because relic Tuck takes all his snaps.
I agree with you about Reese and Killdrive, the Giants win in spite of them. Pugh has been better than good, it's our crappy old vets that keep getting beat on the rush so Reese made a good selection IMO. Also the trade for Beason was a steal, it's not that Reese doesn't believe in LBs he just doesn't believe in drafting them. The Giants have been snakebitten with injuries this year. There should be more rotation on the dline but that's on Fewell, you won't get holding calls if you're too tired to make an effort. Speaking of calls the officiating in the game was beyond ridiculous, the only thing that made it worse was #1 Cowgirl cheerleader Aikman thinking that telling a NY crowd the refs made good calls settles the matter. Bottom line the game ended up hinging on Cruz not protecting the ball from a ball-hawking defense.
Will have top 10 pick and must take an impact outside linebacker here unless one of the massive tackles is there and your gonna move pugh inside. The guards and center they can pick up in free agency and 2nd and 3rd rounds. Think tuck will finally be released after this year and moore will slide in at end. Also, by next year jpp should be fully recovered from back surgery and hopefully be a factor again. After 3rd round should be best available player at cb and lb positions. And if the so called jpp of tight ends mr always hurt robinson can't get on the field in his third year his ass needs to be cut also. Eli needs to figure out wtf hes going to do before theres a second left on the play clock and has to waste time outs on this. If he needs that much time run the friggin no huddle. Cannot under any circumstances bring killdrive and fool back. And to me its time to make TC a vp in the organization somewhere and get a new young coach in here to take over
Killdrive needs to go after this season. I cannot deal with another season with this guy calling the offense. Let also face facts though. Eli is having an absolutely miserable season. You also assume Manning is the one who checked down to that ridiculous draw on third down from the Dallas ten yard line. As for the final drive not getting any pressure on Romo was a complete joke. Mcbride's injury hurt the coverage because with Prince covering Austin Rolle ended up with Bryant one on one. Dallas did a very smart thing by putting Bryant in the slot where he's next to impossible to cover one on one.
Sorry, that is bad coaching. You don't single cover Bryant who is a top receiver with a safety. Austin blows and has for over 2 years now. Just another example that these coordinators have no clue.
Exactly. Dez should be doubled no matter where he is period end of story. If you want to put Prince on Austin to "take him out", that is okay, but then Dez needs to be doubled by a CB AND Rolle. Not one on one every single play with a S Rolle. That is terrible coaching. The Cowboys were targeting Rolle, no doubt. 4 or 5 passes were completed on him that last drive. They found who he was on and made sure they got the ball. Bottom line is they had a 3rd and 5, and a 3rd and 7, and neither time the D got a stop. Neither time the D blitzed. Same old Giants D in crunch time. Is what it is. Big picture it was a good L IMO, just stinks it was against Dallas. That is what angers me most. And if Coughlin doesn't fire both coordinators, he should be fired also as was said above. Both Fewell and Killdrive must go.
Moving Rolle to the slot was the right move at first. He played nickel CB a few years ago when we had Grant over the top and he did a great job. However, once Dallas saw that and moved Dez inside, Fewell HAD to make an adjustment. Dallas made theirs, and Fewell didn't match. Rolle wasn't clearly beaten too often but Dez is just too big to cover one on one in the slot. That back shoulder fade on one of the third downs sticks out in my mind. Rolle had good coverage but Dez was just too big and put himself between Rolle and the ball and Rolle had no chance. In an ideal situation when Dallas moved Dez inside, TT should have stayed on Dez and then put Rolle over the top of him with either Hill or Munday playing FS. But they couldn't because friggin Hosley has proven to be an absolute disaster of a pick. Fewell felt he would rather move TT outside and play a S at the nickel spot who hasn't played there all year than play Hosley, a 3rd round pick who is a damn midget and has shown no improvement and no desire to get any bigger.
Rolle came into the NFL as a highly drafted CB, and he was terrible, so he moved to S. The bottom line is there is NO D that should have our S lined up on their best WR play after play after play. That is the bottom line. If it happens once, okay you adjust. But it happened time after time on that last drive. AND we never blitzed and somehow Dez was STILL one on one with a S. It is a comical joke really. No blitz means more men in coverage, hence blanket their best weapon, yet that didn't happen. So what is the point of not blitzing if their best weapon was one on one with a S every play anyway? Assign a CB to cover Dez all over the field, slot or not, and then have a S over the top. That is common sense. Not let's never blitz, rush 3 or 4 tops, and still have Dez one on one with a S. That is all....
