The "good vibrations" of the captain <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The captain of Olympique de Marseille, Lorik Cana, got back into training on Wednesday alongside his teammates. He tells us about is impressions of the first training sessions, the integration of Hilton and his role as captain. Lorik, are you happy to be back with your teammates? Yes, of course. I’m happy to be back even if the holidays do represent a very important time of the year. We take time to see the family, but when we come back, we’re happy to get back to work and see our friends. What were your feelings during the first session back in training? They were good… But it is extremely hot which doesn’t help when you want to work. At the moment we are working in a good atmosphere, things are going well and we are starting to get to know the new arrivals. It’s good as there is a new way of working at the club, a new method. You talk about methods, Eric Gerets stated on Wednesday during a press conference, that things were going to be tough, much tougher than in previous seasons, just because he wants to prepare for a long season? It’s important to put in the hard work during the preparation for a season which is going to be busy. You have to know how to adapt it to everyone and not do too much or not enough, as that is not good either. I think the coach and the staff have a lot of experience and they will know how to dose the sessions. Did you do your work during the holidays? You had been given a programme to follow, did you respect that? Not entirely. I don’t always respect the off season programs, but I did play in a friendly game, I trained and did a lot of other activities. Last year you were given the captain’s armband during the season. This year you will be starting the season with it. Will that change anything? Not really, as I was given the responsibility quite early on last season. Fundamentally, there is no difference as far as I’m concerned. The most important thing is that everyone feels good, to help integrate the new arrivals as quickly as possible and rapidly build the basis of our squad. Tell us a little about Hilton. You’ve had three training sessions with him now, how is it going? He seems to be a very cool calm player. He was captain at Lens, so that proves he is mature and has experience. We’ll get to know him little by little as time goes by. He’s easy to talk to and he makes jokes all the time. That can only be a good thing.</div>
