The Heat just played an absolutely terrible game against the Grizzlies and lost 83-97. This is the Grizzlies 6th straight win in a row and it is the all time team record. Not surprisingly, Wade had 21 points, followed by the sixth man Rafer Alston who played an AMAZING game with 13 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and went 100% (6-6) from the free throw line; Eddie Jones only scored 12 points and he also had 3 steals. Odom almost made it into double double territory with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Miller was the highest scorer on the Grizzlies with 18 points following by Lorenzen Wright with 14 points, Gasol with 13 points, and Posey, Bonzi, and Swift all with 12 points; in all 5 Grizzlies got into double digits. Earl Watson had the game high 11 assists. The Heat just could not sink any shots and they went 30-79 (38%) from the field and 19-25 (76%) from the free throw line compared to the Grizzlies shooting 52% from the field and 65% from the free throw line.. At one point, the Grizzlies led by as much as 24 point, the Heat only led the game once at that was by scoring the first two points of the game, it just went downhill from the first seconds of the game.

Needless to say, Rafer Alston pulled off a stunning performance tonight despite the horrible loss, and it is very clear that he is going to be a major part of this team in years to come.

Actually, that was last week....Tonight was their 2nd straight win, and their 9th in their last 11 games.

Their 6 game winning streak was broken by the Spurs. However they have since then won 2 straight after beating Kings then Heat tonight.Amazing how well balanced their scoring is.
