Messiah, long before PED's were illegal all these guys benefited from that period. Now here is a former catcher turn first baseman breaking down. He signed till 42, and my fear is if we sign Cano to a 8-10 year contract like I fear will be necessary then you are saying I'm paying you for the past and maybe 3 more good years then the decline. I know you feel that way from your previous post which i think signals that the Yankee Organization needs to correct previous business models to compete in future. Maybe that is why this trade deadline period will go by with no significant Yankee related moves.

Hard to believe that the Angels saw what happened with A-rod, then signed Pujols & Hamilton, yep no more of those deals in New Yok please.

They're just lucky that they kept Hamilton to only 5 years.

And does our #3 hitter deserve a long term mega deal after Madden basically said I fear a 39 year old, broken down, been on the DL all year, shortstop before I fear you.

Cano doesn't have his head in the game. Maybe it's the lack of Peds.

I got a huge chuckle out of that, walk Jeter to get to Cano. Even Joe Magrane stated on MLB stated that every time one thinks Jeter is done he pops right back in there. Very happy for Jeter today the man deserves the best.

With Jeter back Cano is no longer THE MAN! in the line up. Maybe he's pouting.
