I had a big, usual game preview set up. Just about to submit it, and my whole flippin power went out. I have no clue why it went out, but I don't have time to re-make another one.

Nothing to say about this game. Tayshaun will control Kobe, the Pistons will torch us. No comment on anything else.

What confidence! That really says alot about how much faith you have in your team. Dont you even give them a chance? What if chauncey has an off night? What if prince cant stop kobe? [IMG]

The Lakers looked terrible on Friday, I think they can compete today, but they have to be aggressive all game long. I'm curious to see how the Lakers match up on defense.

They might want to put Kobe on Billups, so he doesn't have to chase Rip all over the court. The Lakers will be forced to rely on Kobe for offense. When Kobe has the ball, the other guys cannot just stand around and make it easy for the Pistons. People need to move around and not allow the Pistons to cheat over on Kobe.

Lamar Odom MUST SHOW UP, he's been lost since the Sacramento game. He needs to outplay Rasheed Wallace tonight.

This is very tough matchup today for the Lakers. I think they should force Ben Wallace to beat them offensively. Force him to become the decision maker for the Pistons and use up extra energy on the offensive end.

Utah beat the Pistons twice, by playing smart basketball and not turning the ball over. The defense has to be there tonight for the Lakers, and they cannot allow the Pistons to get easy baskets in transition or on the offensive glass.

If the Lakers can keep it close heading into the 4th quarter, I give them a chance to win this game.

Tonight, EVERYONE has to show up. No one can have an off night. Lamar has to have 20, Brown needs 10+, Mihm needs to bring the hardcore blocking defense, and Smush needs to get at least 20. Kobe will be Kobe, I think he's put alot of intimidation on his defenders over the past weeks. Lakers can do this if they keep their head in the game.

Thats weird, I just made a long ass post and my computer froze and I had to turn it off via the mains! Basically what I was saying before was that I came onto the site with a positive feeling about the game until I read all the negativity! As Shape says, Lamar Odom shows up once every four games. Well, he hasn't show up for the last four games, so he is due a great game tonight. We need him to play like he did against the Heat last time. We have size advantages all around the court, we should make use of it. We need to somehow bully the Pistons on defence. If people are still negative, think of it this way, the Jazz beat them twice, why can't we?

I dunno, I think the Lakers have a chance.

I'll be really pissed if we get blown out and they got their reserves playing the 4th quarter.

If we're gonna lose, I want this game to go down to the wire, like the Houston game.

We have to play our best basketball of the season to to get the game close, we have to get our defense tight and our offense flowing.

    kobe gonna drop 60 today?

25 pts already with a minute left, only 12 shot attempts but he got to the line like 10 times.... i have a feeling hes gonna have another 60 pts game, and lead the lakers to a win, if the lakers win the pistons winning streak finnally broken down

I don't see the Lakers winning this. They aren't having anyone else step up right now. It's all Kobe.

    Kobe goes for 53+ though.

They lost. In the begining I thought they might have been able to do it but it all fell apart in the second half.

Kobe himself cant against the pistons' roster. Look what the rest of the lakers did, odom 9pts(another off night),brown 2pts(can be ignored),parker 9pts, Mihm did a good job but not good enough to win the game... all piston starters get double digits. just not in the same level.

Thats why the Pistons won. They didnt have one player that out shined another. All of their starters were consistant and scored a good amount of points. Im not a Pistons fan but they deserved to win. They played good.

The Lakers cant win every game on the shoulders of Kobe. Someone else needs to step it up! Mihm had a solid outing though.. Double Double

Mihm has become the 2nd scorer for the Lakers. He's developed into a constant post player, sadly, it isn't enough. Trade Odom, please?

Losing by 9 points to the Pistons on the road is respectable for this team at this point. Especially considering Lamar Odom and Smush Parker only had 9 points each. Great job by Mihm tonight, I think he's slowly becoming the second best player on the Lakers.

Lamar Odom continues to piss me off to no end. He's become an embarrassment to the Lakers franchise. The more he plays the lower his trade value gets and the more expensive his contract becomes. Not only did he only score 9 points in the game, he had 8 TURNOVERS. Against the Warriors he had 7 TURNOVERS.
