<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">From RealGM: Rusillo (on Adleman's show) is saying that team sources have told him the Jiri deal is the preamble to a larger deal they?re now working on, which may not happen until the last minute, but that it does NOT include Pierce.</div> The rumors are now surfacing. There was only 2 reasons for announcing the Jiri trade so early in the day: 1. We were done for the day and knew it. 2. We needed it done so that the pick could be packaged in another deal. Ford claims the C's are working in getting 'Toine back from ATL, who coincidentally has been making draft picks a requisite request with everyone they've bee reportedly dealing with. I'm also concerned that they notated that PP wasn't part of the deal. That means RD probably is, along with Raef or Blount.
ya i think they're dealing again. The need to move now that Phili has added loads of talent. Something along the lines of... Toronto trades: SF Eric Williams (8.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 25.9 minutes) PF Donyell Marshall (10.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.4 minutes) Toronto receives: SG Tony Allen (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 15.9 minutes) PF Tom Gugliotta (1.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.6 apg in 10.9 minutes) Michael Stewart (No games yet played in 2004/05) Change in team outlook: -11.1 ppg, -4.6 rpg, and -1.4 apg. Boston trades: SG Tony Allen (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 15.9 minutes) PF Tom Gugliotta (1.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.6 apg in 10.9 minutes) Michael Stewart (No games yet played in 2004/05) Boston receives: SF Eric Williams (8.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 25.9 minutes) PF Donyell Marshall (10.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.4 minutes) Change in team outlook: +11.1 ppg, +4.6 rpg, and +1.4 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED TRADE ACCEPTED ...with the celts thowing in the pick they got from the Cavs it works for both sides. Gugliotta and Stewart are expiring contracts which the Raptors like, Tony Allen is young and shows promise which the raptors like, and its includes a pick, which the Raptors like. Celts get a very solid PF that can do 15-10 easy, and they get a great defender and low post scorer in E. Will. Trade also works if you take E. Will and Gugliotta out, with the Raptors maybe throwing in Loren Woods. Anyways...whatever happens i think it will improve them as much has the Sixers improved. And i think my suggestion would be close to doing that..even more so if they made a 3rd move for Payton.
Never happen. It would take more than Donyell Marshall to pry TA from Dannyboy's grip. Not to mention, why would we want EWill back?
Just read Chad fords chat line and he just talked to 'Toines agent and it doesn't look like he is leaving the ATL. Could the pick still be used in another deal for a different player? I don't think there is enough time.
It better go soon, the deadline is in 35 minutes and counting. It could turn out to be a great move or a bust. We'll see.....
It would take a lot more than that to get Tony Allen, especially now that Jiri is on his way to cleveland. Personally, I don't think the Celtics have to make a move to try and catch the Sixers. The Celtics are in a tough stretch right now, but after that they have a much easier road to the end of the season: 27 games left, only 7 against the west with 13 home and 14 road games. Let the Sixers try and develop some team chemistry as quickly as possible while the celtics continue to move along with the same group who know how to play together.

TA is probably a keeper and i forgot about EWill's Celtics days.
