of course no one can tell who stars will be on draft day, but heres a lineup of guys we could have had we not passed up on them or traded them quickly at the time, starting with 1995 draft (second guy would be the backup)[IMG]G.Gilbert Arenas/Chauncey BillupsSG. Kobe Bryant/Manu GinobliSF. Tracy McGrady/ Boris DiawPF. Zach Randolph/ David WestC. Samuel Dalembert/Jamaal Magloire11th man Joe Johnson, 12th man Michael FinleyI passed up on Tony Parker and Jermaine Oneal for better players/team needsKinda makes you wonder doesn't it?

Incorrect. We wouldn't have gotten all of those players either way because we would have different outcomes. All that is is a list of a bunch of players we didn't take.

What we could have is a lineup of:

    Chauncey Billups
    Ricky Davis
    Paul Pierce
    Antoine Walker
    ???

But - shoulda, coulda, woulda. The Celtics management was absolutely terrible back then and Rick Pitino is an excellent coach, but bad GM. He did terrible. I am much much more confident with Ainge in the drafts. He has a great eye for talent and usually makes the unexpected pick turn out to be a good one.

those were players that were picked AFTER our picks, therefore we could have selected them

Yeah coulda, woulda, shoulda....our organization in general was F*cked up during the 90's, trading picks is something every team does and passing up on players is something that is easy to criticize after they make the pick and players don't turn out well or you passed on really good players. Reguardless, I think you forgot Bruce Bowen and Damon Jones, but by the looks of that lineup Bowen/Jones are pretty much useless lol

Yeah but we couldnt have all of those players man. If you have someone on the list drafted in say 1996, then 2001.. we would not have the players from 2001 if we drafted differently in years before hand, because the draft positions would be totally different. You catch my drift?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>this just makes me hate pitino even more.</div>totally agree, he was one of the worst evaluators of talent in the past decade, he wanted to sign Tariq Abdul-Wahid to a big time deal (which TAQ got anyway) and make him a main option for the Celts....Pitino was just simply awful
