Its been four years -- Tom Landry who led the Boys to five Super Bowls in 20 consecutive winning seasons, died today in 2000 in Irving, Texas. He had been hospitalized with leukemia for several months.

I wish we had more classy players and coaches like this nowadays.

Charles Shultz (Peanuts) died on the same day. The world lost 2 good Christian men in one fell swoop. No secret that I've never liked the "Boys too much. But Landry was a class act. He always had my respect.

When DolfanDale and I visited the Hall Of Fame, I thought the Landry bust should be sporting a fedora. I also tried to get Dale to put his glasses on the Griese bust for a picture, but he wimped out on me.

Anyway, hats off (pun intended) to Mr. Landry today. Thanks for making us pause to remember, Cowboy.
