<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jazz guard Milt Palacio has surgery planned to repair his damaged left knee, his agent confirmed Friday. "The report I received is that they need to do a little cleanup of some loose particles in his knee," agent Andy Miller said. "It's nothing major, but we're better off doing it now." Miller suggested the surgery will not prevent Palacio, an unrestricted free agent this summer, from being fully ready to play next season. Palacio, a Colorado State product who has played for six teams in his seven NBA seasons, appeared in 71 games this season mostly at point guard, including 18 starts. But he missed four of the Jazz's final five games due to inflammation in his knee, and did not play at all in Utah's last seven games. Palacio, who signed with Utah as a free agent last summer, wound up averaging 6.2 points and 2.7 assists. Miller said his client wants to re-sign with the Jazz. "Milt's first hope — and I made this clear to Utah — is we can reach an agreement with Utah," the agent said. "He really enjoyed playing for Coach (Jerry) Sloan and wants to maintain that relationship." Among the Jazz's many decisions this offseason will be whether or not to re-sign Palacio, and whether or not to pick up the second-year option on fellow reserve guard Keith McLeod's contract.</div> Source After watching his disciple go off in the final game of the year, he really wants to comeback and finish teaching C.J. his Jordanesque type skills.
