George Clooney's WW2 film The Monuments Men is a big mess that wastes its stellar cast and plays like a rough cut.

+Noble intentions carry the film as far as they can.
+Man, what a cast ...
– ... too bad so many of them have so little to do.
– Crudely constructed & oddly paced narrative.
– Characters that lack dimension & identity.
– Message Movie Moments!

 

I will still go see this movie. I've been really excited about it.

 

Of course it sucks.

I was interested in seeing this movie, but after it got delayed i figured there was something wrong with it.

 

I'm bummed that the reviews suck cause I wanted to see this one.

 

Not so much. He's been really good in some things, and just plain terrible in others. As a director, from what little of his work I've seen, he leaves a LOT to be desired.

 

Now you are claiming to be a Director Wook? What is next? Saying you are Congressman?



By the way, just kidding. I know what you meant.

 

It looks like it should be terrific.

But, alas...

 

If Wook runs against Peter DeFossio he gets my vote.
