"Pau Gasol has won a grand total of ZERO playoff games. He cannot lead his team to victory and chokes under pressure blah blah blah blah blah"

    - stupid fool

    Today:

    36 pts, 14-20 fg, 8-8 ft, 16 rb, 8 ast, 3 bs

Suck it. Pau was the best player on the floor today. He was unstoppable. Big props to the Spaniard. Many more to come [IMG]

    - It's one game.

    - He's playing with Kobe.

When you lean too much on a player, he won't play well especially in the playoffs. luckily, the Lakers have Kobe not Pau to lean on so Pau can just play off Kobe.

Bargnani has won more playoff games in his rookie year then Gasol has his whole career
    lawl
just kidding, but its now easier for him cause he's not the top option and the team doesn't rely solely on him, good for Pau

    Kenyon started out guarding Kobe
    Camby started out guarding Gasol

It was pretty easy to predict which Laker was going to go off.

    I despise George Karl

Just wondering, isn't Camby supposed to be good defensively? That's why he was DPOY [IMG]

This is the type of thread you post after the post season, not one game in.

I'm sure he still will be big but cmon.

He had a monster game and I got excited. You have a problem with that?

Kobe had 28 in the second half, and he was clutch in the last 8 minutes.

He drew contact from JR Smith, and did what he needed when his J wasn't falling, let's not forget that Brian.

This thread is indeed worthless (not that you shouldn't be excited, but he's not a great or bad post-season player yet, it's to be determined with him), a body of work must be established in at least this series.

Pau had a monster game, and performed at a very high level. When critics did get all over Gasol, a lot of it had to do with what kind of players are around him.

Same thing with Kobe, when he didn't have as much talent, he couldn't help his team get out of the first round.

Laker fans are always hated and they say we overrated our players a lot but whatever.

Pau was a beast and I'm so so so so happy we have him.

I'm glad to see Pau came up the way he did today. Hopefully he keeps it up for the rest of the series....and who knows, I might actually get to watch a game (the rest better frickin' be late games).

That would be absolutely amazing, if Pau averaged 36 ppg, 70% FG%, 16 rpg, 8 apg, 3 bpg. I'd say that would be the best averages a player has ever averaged for a series.

-He lead us to victory? Kwame would've had a big game against this Denver defense. We had any shot we wanted at will, I wouldn't say Gasol lead us to victory. Who was crucial down the stretch and kept nailing daggers? Kobe. Gasol set the tone in the first half, but Kwame could've done the same thing with the looks that he was getting. It was a team effort in the first--we had crisp, good passes that gave our guys easy buckets. I don't know what game you were watching, but we wouldn't have gotten "blown out" if Gasol didn't have the kind of game he did.

-His shot was off, that's all. He and Phil prepared for a double team defense, not Kenyon Martin. Martin' a good defender, his length, size, and strength was giving Kobe problems. Once Kobe solved out and adapted his style of play, he was absolutely on fire.

A big game for Kwame would have been 12 points on 5-8 shooting, 8 boards, and 2 TOs.

Kobe shot what, 2-10 in the first half? He wasn't hitting anything early on, and Gasol's play helped us weather the storm during their big run. If we Gasol didn't have the game he did, I'm sure the Nuggets would have pushed their lead even further. I agree Kobe came up big near the end of the game, but a big part of the reason why we won was because of Gasol's big game. He helped keep us competitive even when Kobe was off

That's not what anyone is objecting, Brian. It's obvious Gasol was a huge part of us winning today, but Denver isn't even a decent defensive team. Kwame Brown, DJ Mbenga, Chris Mihm, hell...Ronny Turiaf could've converted on most of the looks that Gasol had today. It was more of a team effort than anything, in this V.

It would be amazing if he did that....

In all seriousness though, you take me far too literal. I fully expect Pau to not do that every game, but if he can consistently produce something close to 20/10, we'll easily win this series.

Well I'm just excited that he had a great game today, and that he finally won one in the postseason!
