I have been following the NBA since the 1995-1996 season and I pretty much memorized every player in the NBA every year since then. I would check realgm.com religiously each day to get to the point of knowing way more about obsecure players the fans have never heard about. It seem's todays NBA is just full of crybaby's and primadonna's, while Barkely,Rodman,Sprewell use to be the problem children of the NBA, its seems they had more respect and class than do alot of the players in todays league. I am a white person and I literally cared about each and every player in the NBA because of playing NBA Live 97 on the Playstation and memorized everything about them. That game's cool fact screen made you look at the players on some sort of spiritual level and gave the the apperance of superheroes with the musical backdrop it had. I got to meet NBA players such as Brevin Knight,Rodney Buford,Lorenzen Wright and the NBA meant so much to me for so long, but it seems so many things have changed in the 15 years I have followed it. I literally didnt have a racist bone in my body Rafer Alston and Tracy McGrady's actions against Steve Nash in the Houston vs Phoenix game really made me look different at the new generation of NBA players. While Shaq put everyone back in their place, it seems that todays player seem to be more racist towards white players than ever before. If you really examine it, it seems to be there Lebron James not wanting to score the 100th point so fans could get free tacos,Marbury making more money than most people do in a lifetime complaining, Al Harrington dissing Don Nelson, one of the most fairist coaches ever. Gilbert Arenas taking cheap shots on Wally Szercbiak. It seems todays black players reinforce the belief of ignorance instead of being thankful that they get payed so much and are loved by white people who pay them millions of dollars and literally worship them. Hell they can get better looking white women than white guys can. Arenas I believe is the biggest culprit in this new attitude in the NBA, he defines a new level of treating white people like crap and just an igorance and demeanor that is so unlikeable. What the hell are you talking about? Nash was falling backwards on his own before McGrady even touched him. Rafer going after him was stupid, I admit. But Alston would do that against anyone -- it doesn't matter what their skin color is.

I think the Rockets vs. Suns fight is a horrible example. What about Yao tackling T-Mac? The Chinese guy clearly hates blacks! People shouldn't tell this guy about Kevin Garnett the lyncher, otherwise he will become even more extreme.

I agree with the original poster about the NBA getting more and more greedy. It is getting disheartening. I think they should just put a cap on the salaries players can get paid. It's ridiculous that people get tens of millions of players a year for playing a game. Not a real job lol. But then you're gonna have players jumpship to Europe for more money if you install a cap so you can't really do anything about it. But I don't think race has anything to do with it. GObama!
