The NBA playoff format...

    Do you all like the way it has been done?

    all best of 7 series?

    or would it of been best to do like they do in the NCAA and do a straight up knockout? i like the new format...the playoff go on longer..and thats what everyone wanted.People said the new format would favour the lakers but it didnt turn out that way :mrgreen:

    imo i think this was done for the lakers to win, it woulve stayed 5 if the lakers were in 1st

    The league has been talking about making this change for YEARS so how could they have done it for the Lakers?

    more games is better because it means more games to watch.

    Yea, the league has been discussing changing the first round to 7 games for years. They didn't all of a sudden think of the idea because of the Lakers struggles.

    I like changing the first round to 7 makin it all 7 series...it makes it more interesting

    now all they need to do is get rid of some teams and then all the series can actually go 7 games.

    they should have waited one more year, because the magic woulda won the 1st round series 3-1 :? , oh well. i like it overall though, more games.

    First off if it was like the NCAA then the playoffs would be two weeks long if that. They have talked about this for years but people assume that this was done to help the Lakers which isnt true at all. It was done for $$$. The more playoff games the more $$$ the NBA and the owners make. This switch however severly helped the Lakers in the first round as they didnt have home court advantage. Few teams can beat the Lakers I think in a best of 7 series.
