In my opinion, New Jersey need two kind of people.

Big man and a nice shooter.

If New Jersey has big man, then they can easily play in the paint, like a strong center.

But most center of NBA teams are not really important.
Like San Antonio, Indiana, But they have strong forwards.

So if K-Mart & RJ are still in the team, I think it's also very good.
As long as 7-0 Jason Collins can play very hardliy, then it's not a big problem.
(If Kristic can give a hand in paint, it's better)

Otherwise, A good Shooting Guard is more in need. NJ has two good forwards, but in the Guard position, Jason Kidd is not good at shooting.
Kittles is better, but not good enough. I hope Ray Allen can join New Jersey, to increase the fire of shooting in long distance.

Like Detroit, Billups, and a very good shooter- Rip Hamilton...

So.. I hope NJ can strive for getting Ray Allen, then i think NJ can get the championship...

Does anybody agree with me ?

that is exactly what they need and 1 good person off the bench that can hold it down when the starters are on the bench or not performing to the standards

But...Will the nets get a good shooter ?
Rod Thorn always save the money, i don't know whether NJ can get a new good player...

the kidd era team won't see brooklyn. kidd probably won't be around when they move, which isnt even official yet. we could get some players to help fill our needs but it doesnt seem the new owner bruce ratner cares about the NEW JERSEY nets. he is just going to care about the BROOKLYN nets. over the next 4-5yrs while the team is still in NJ, he will try and save all the money he can and try to alienate Nets fans and bring a crap product to brooklyn where he will think people will love a crap team and be excited about a team who won't make the playoffs and possibly be in the shadowns of a knicks team who might be a good team by then. the new owner is goina to F'k this franchise up and it is sad. rod thorn has built a great team and we have something great here for a change and a f'n tool is greedy and wants to make some money while ruining millions of lives in the process. god bless america *rolls eyes*

    Ratner sucks BTW.

Anyway, we are in dire need of a veteran back up PG (which will start at the beginning of the season due to Kidd's surgery), a SG who can score consistently around the 15-18 ppg range and a big man who can rebound.

Yeah I agree, we didnt appreicate him enuff the two seasons here. I think we focused to much onthe fact he isnt a great shooter. And his own indviual offensive scoring sklls were lacked.but what we should have focused on was that he is a good on-ball defender. And he did a very steady job of running the offense when kidd went to the bench. I mean none of the other point guards we had during the kidd era, Robert Pack, Chris Childs, Doug Overton, now Zoran Planinic were able to do half of what Johnson did.

Yeah. At least he can hold his own and not let the other team make a run. It's like when Kidd's resting, Johnson will make sure that nothing bad happens like letting the other team make a run. So when Kidd comes back in the game, he's well rested and ready to pick up where he left off.

he was liked in the locker room too. aj had chemestry with our guys and i bet he would love to come back. i think he made his point by leaving and zoran being a first year bust. hopefully kenny can come back and do what aj did.
