Is it ok for non-black people to call it the Negro League?

    Seems a bit iffy.

I was surprised Charlie Pride played in those leagues in the minors then majors before becoming a country star. Nelson George a writer for the Village Voice years ago wrote a great book about the history of blacks in sports and entertainment and how they lost ownership when they gave those franchises up for the white owned baseball system. I can't remember the title...read it many decades ago....looked it up..."The death of rhythm and blues" by Nelson George
