The Nets have won thier first victory with Vince Carter on the floor. Jason Kidd believe it or not had a big game (11 rebounds, 11 assits, 4 steals). I think that you can safely say that his scoring does not matter for the team. Vince duplicated his performance from the night before with 25 points. Richard, was noticably fatigued, however, Kristic stepped it up and score a career high 17 points. It is still not safe to say that the Nets are on the right track. They were out rebounded 35-41. Plus, they only won by four. It should take them a number of more games to truely mold together and make a much needed win streak.
Good stuff to see Vince cross the 25 point plateau as a Net. Anytime he scores 25 or over, I consider it an awakening of the 2001 Vince. Any dunks in this one? Jason Kidd is still struggling with his shot but a win is a win, whether it be by 4 or 25. Good luck to the Nets in the upcoming games.
Im glad that we won, Vince had a good game but his shooting could've been better, he shot 9-23 from the field. Vince had a good all around game, RJ didnt play at the level he's been playing at but Kidd showed up. Looking at today's game even an idiot could tell how much Kidd means to this team, he's a great player and has a huge impact even when he's not scoring. I think the Nets can be better than this, I mean a win by 4 against the bulls? They just need time to mesh as a team.

Jason Kidd shooting does matter, the Nets are a perimeter team so they need him to be effective enuff offensively to keep the defense honest against the top level teams. You can beat the Bulls playing 2 on 5 basketball. But you cant beat the Heat, Pistons, or Pacers playing that way. I dont like Jersey's ball movement at all right now, way to much isolation, one on one play in the half-court. The thing that makes the Nets successful is the motion offense. And I think that is the method that will allow the Nets to get the most out of RJ & VC atheletism. Jersey won tonight but they didnt look like a team that would put any fear into the top teams in the east. Granted the offense will come around. But the perimeter defense is suspect as well, this is the 2nd straight night a teams backcourt really put up big # against Jersey. Nets realistically only won cause Gordon fouled out. If our perimeter is going to be our strong point then we cant let teams backcourts put up equal or better # then us and expect to win. Guys got to step their defense up, not just worrying about putting up 20ppg.
What's wrong with Kidd's shooting, is it ill effects from the injury in that he doesn't have his rythm, or is it just the way the team is playing. Carter got to the line 8 times and was playing agressive and doing things I haven't seen from him in a while, that's impressive. The Net's need to push the ball and run more, but I also think a hinderance to that is the lack of quality depth on the team, Carter played 40+ minutes again today. The Nets got lucky in this one because with Kidd not doing much scoring, and RJ shooting 6-18, you won't win much against tougher opponents.
Wow, Vinsanity is back from that long absense since the 2001 season. The Nets are going to the eastern conference finals atleast, and it doesn't matter if they don't have a good big man. Heck, they have Krystich.

He needs to learn the system that will make him the Vince of old, and his fluids should help him He needs to get rid of the headband though and the pantie warmer on his left leg.
to mention big man, Krstic is a rookie, but he is much better than J.Collins. JC is normal, but that is not enough, just see what krstic does. If we have two big men just like two krstic, then our front court is solid enough in the east. kidd, please find your feel to shoot. Vince Carter, the elite player is back.
It's great seeing Vince Carter back in action and actually playing his game. I think it was a good move for the Nets cause now they have a great slasher/shooter in VC. With the help of Jason Kidd, whose passing is and will always be amazing, The Nets have up their team. RJ who surprised me right from the start of his career is a great player and is a mixture of great offense and defense. So teams better watch out for this 3 way combo- Kidd, Carter, RJ. VC scored 6 of his 25 pts in the final 3 min. Including a pair of free throws with i think about 3 sec. left. Jason Kidd had a pretty good game...he didnt score that many pts but came big with his 11 assists and 10 boards. This team is looking good to me fellas
NO,No,NO~~~ Vince~~~ I love you, and God Bless you, you will play very excellent in the NEW JERSEY NETS !!! ( A Happy Nets Fan )
Hope to see Vince regain back his "lost skills" and hope to see the raptors improving their so-far dismal record (Bemused timberwolves fan)
im happy to see vince scoring and playing better with jason kidd and richard jefferson. i hope that the nets will go far even though im still a raps fan. (*looking up word "bemused"*)
Lets not forget this was against an improving, but still not as good, Bulls Team. After watching the game, it seems as if the Nets lost their offense. They freewheel it a lot and just pass the ball to Jefferson to make something happen. In the fourth quarter it's just a bunch of isos or they run that Jefferson pass to Collins at the corner of the free-thow line jumper. There needs to be consistency. The Nets ran more plays the games when Carter was out. Granted scoring has became easier, but you can't rely on isos every single game. The Bulls are one of the worse defensive teams in the league (which I don't understand cause they have such good individual defenders) and have been known not to close out thier games. Moreover, the Nets caught a break when Ben Gordon fouled out. Gordon was scoring at will and when he found out the Bulls had no one but Hinrich to go to. Jason Kidd needs to find his offense. I don't know if it's his injuries or his mentality, but he just seems lethargic out there. He reminds me of Paul Pierce last year when he played without much heart.

I don't see Kidd slower or hobbled by injuries, just that he doesn't seem to want to play. He needs to drive to the basket more and get better balance on his jump shot. I don't know but Kidd needs to somehow get back in the Nets game. The Nets will be 10 times what they are now if Kidd returns to his 14/7/9 form.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Buckets:</div><div class="quote_post">Im glad that we won</div> Didn't you have the Bulls as one of your 3 favorite teams in your profile just last week?
I thought that this was a much needed win for the Nets. Although the game wasn't going to well until the fourth quarter, and not even the entire nfourth quarter. What the Nets need to do now that Carter is starting to get the hang of how things work in NJ, is to find some consistency. Maybe that will come as J-kidd's shooting gets back on track.
