Every great team faces a rocky road. All the Nets have to do is get in the playoffs. And they will raise their game on both ends of the court to a level that other teams cant match. Heck, the Lakers go thru rock roads every season but they take the approach of lets just get in the playoffs & nobody beating us. Well we are the Eastern Conference version of the Lakers, well let the Pacers(aka Kings east) win all the regular season games they want but come playoff time we will expose their point guard weakness, K-mart will lock down J.Oneal like he did in 2002 playoffs & the Nets will be holding up their 3rd straight eastern conference championship. And move on to fight a team from the wild wild west in the Finals. I said this before & i'll say it again, the only eastern conference team that scares me is a healthy Hornets team.

The Nets play a great playoff style brand of basketball.

I would not be worried one bit.

Seeing K-Mart and Kidd on the other side of the court would be intimidating for any team in the East.

The Nets may be the best east team. but theyre still an east team. THey arent going to have a cake walk through the season. They may end up only a few games over .500 and they will sill win their division and will still be a favorite to win the eastern conference for one reason and one reason alone: Jason Kidd. thats how it works in the NBA. the team with the best player wins and Jason Kidd is the best player in the easttern conference with the only possible ecxeption being jermaine Oneal but he still may be a year or two away from claiming that title and if not than he and the pacers will beat the nets to win the east. The trouble is that Kidd is not the best player in the NBA. Last year that title belonged to Tim Duncan and the three years before that it belonged to Shaq and before that Michael Jordan etc. etc. etc. see a pattern? Kidd will still likely take the nets to the finals BUT he will not breeze through the season or win the title because hes not better than Shaq, Duncan, or KG

Well that explains why they're struggling. There's not a two week span where they don't have any problems.

But KJ is right. THere's no doubt that the Nets will go to the playoffs and from there, they'll do their juggernaut.
