I am loving this! How many of you can say you doubled your income overnight? Woo Hoo!!! The lines kinda sucked yesterday, but I figure they will level out.... No more Kramer jokes needed here....

Did the return on bottles go up?
I remember hiking about 20 miles of roadway when I was about 13 or so, picking up bottles to get enough to go to camp.
Now I think the return would have to be about 20 cents per bottle to equal the adjusted value of bottle return back then. I am guessing it is not.

Yeah, yesterday it went up to 10 cents per can. Even if the can/bottle is an older one marked @ 5 cents, you still get 10.

Now would be a good time to take my big trailer over to Montana and loader er down.
I just calculated I could haul about $32000 worth of cans per load. At least weight wise.

4.5 cents. Aluminum is 1.870 per metric ton. I won't bore you with rest. Barfo probably would think it's porn.

I guess you have not noticed, we don't make that stuff here anymore. The Dems raise the price of power and ran them alll off the river.
Dang, one of my show cases too. I automated the smelting process in one of those plants, late 60s I think it was.

I remember the smelting process in the late 60s. Been a long time since I've eaten one of those little guys.

I dipped a pile of those from the Sandy, 1974 was my last year I did it. Also got few in the Cowlitz the same year. We ate bunch of them, until the kids revolted.
Dang, I thought we were going eat that shit for the whole spring.

I remember our neighbor took my dad fishing one time and they came back with garbage cans full of them. So many little fish. My dad didn't want to offend the neighbor so he made be bury them in the backyard.

Rather a shame actually. I felt the fool before I got home with 40 pound of the things. After we couldn't eat anymore, I salted them down for bait I kept in the bait box on the stern of the boat I had then. Still couldn't use them all. So dumped the last 5 or 10 pound in my favorite sturgeon hole in the Willamette near Jennings Lodge and Maryllhurst. Never did it again.
