Its obvious this position needs an upgrade. If Miami does not draft one in round one or three then there is no hope for this franchise. Someone w/ experience needs to tutor the future of the franchise. Rivers or Clausen seem the most likely at this point in time.

Its just a rumor that B Johnson is making too much and would be replaced by a cheaper veteran.

Simms is still being groomed and won't be in the mix until 2005.

Could you see Brad Johnson being released and eitehr Griese or Fiedler being brought in to replace him??? Remember, Gruden is a cocky, arrogant, self thought offensive genius, who may believe he can turn around either of these QBs....

Gruden would be a fool to let Johnson go. He's a very savvy veteran that can throw an accurate pass under pressure. With that being said, it's not Johnson, it's the system and players. They can't run the ball consistantly, and McCardell & Charles Lee were their go to guys at the end of the season. Keyshawn might be a team cancer, but he made B. Johnson & McCardell more of a threat than C. Lee does. Watching the Bucs play at the end was downright embarrassing. They couldn't do anything. 60 pass attempts, 42 completions, 205 yards. Gimmie a break.

If T.B. does let Johnson go, I don't see Marino hesitating to pick him up though. He'd be amazing in Miami with those receivers.

As I understand it, Brunnell would be Chucky's preference.

ESPN reported this morning that Gruden will make every effort to aqcuire Gannon, if Johnson is not to be retained

If I were you guys (BA, Beef, DD), I'd be awfully excited if Miami could acquire B. Johnson.

I could live w/ either B Johnson or Brunnell.

Even Gannon would be okay. Kitna I have mixed feelings about.

I do not want to see Warner in Aqua & Orange EVER. Not even to see him take Don Johnson's place in a Miami Vice reunion.
