okay folks, with the regular season just around the corner and our first preseason game in a few days, its time to start thinking about your predictions!
This thread will be for the entries only. Once the season starts, i will create another thread with everyone listed numerically by predictions and will track the entries in that thread, updating periodically throughout the season.
The rules are simple:

All predictions are due in prior to tip off of the first regular season game vs Denver.
Provide all four deciding factors in order to ensure you will win the tie breakers.

This year, other than win/loss, we will go with Conference seeding and Whiteside’s average rebounds per game and total rebounds gained for the season.
So a sample entry would read like this:

50-32,2nd, 12.7, 942

Good luck and Go Blazers!!!

They're going to win but lose some games as well.

55 wins
2nd seed
13 rebs
912 tot rebs

Why tie the team's record to something as unpredictable as Whiteside's contribution?

Makes the whole thing a crap shoot.

its an independent stat to help tiebreakers. It has nothing to do with the teams record.
I thought whitesides numbers(since he is a rebounding machine and bragged about having shooters) would be a crapshoot, based on minutes he will play per game and the unknown timetable of Nurks return. These made this a perfect option for people to be all over the map and virtually guarantee it will be a good tie breaking option.

And yes. The whole thing IS a crapshoot.
Now you gonna toss an entry into the pot or just gonna piss in it? ;)

speculation about a few stats has nothing to do with tying up a record...it's a prediction thread so it's predictable if you get it right
