Anderson Varejao and guard Sasha Pavlovic become restricted free agents this summer and the Cavaliers want them both back.``We want both of them back,'' Ferry said in an interview with area media. ``We'll go through the process (negotiations can begin July 1), whatever that is with their agents, to see that happen.''``I love the city. I love the fans and everything. When I first got here, I didn't speak any English,'' Varejao said. ``It was a different country for me, and they helped me. So I'm pretty comfortable in Cleveland. I love being here. I would love to come back.''Pavlovic would like to return as well, but he looks at the situation with a touch of pragmatism.``I would love to be here. You never know what's going to happen,'' he said. ``It's a business. It's nothing on me. I hope I'm going to get back here as a free agent.''

MOVING BIBBY: Word from Sacramento is that Mike Bibby is more than available, he?s available pretty cheap from what people are saying. Cleveland came pretty close to nabbing Bibby at the trade deadline; don?t be shocked to see them revisit the Kings in the next few weeks. Bibby is also a name kicked around in Miami. The HEAT are hoping they can nab their point guard in the draft or free agency, but if luck does not favor South Beach, Bibby may be the next target for Pat Riley. The Kings are pretty busy looking at the draft and for their next head coach, and it seems nothing major will get decided until a coach is in place, but the word on the street is the Kings are ready to deal.

*I'm so happy we are working out Ron Lewis. Hes a shooter, and he'll work well with the Cavaliers if he goes un-drafted. I hope that he does, because he can easily make open shots, and he can be added as another shooter. My favorite OSU player on the Cavaliers, w00t, MAKE IT HAPPEN DANNY! Based on my read of the winds at the Q, the Cavs won't be going to the wall to keep Anderson Varejao. The buzzword these days is flexibility, I think the Cavs would rather let him walk than pay him crazy money (like, say, $8-$10 a year as has been predicted by some). But it is going to be hard to determine what he's worth because there aren't comparable players. That said they would prefer to sign him.

Sasha Pavlovic is in the same boat as Varejao, restricted, but there seems to be a greater likelihood the Cavs will keep him. It is doubtful he would get an offer above the midlevel exception from a team with cap space. Plus, the Cavs probably will put out the word they intend to match offers, which may scare away competition. Pavlovic's market was hurt this week when the Toronto Raptors traded for Carlos Delfino. Toronto was a team believed to be interested in Pavlovic.

There seems to be some belief out there that the Cavs and Sacramento Kings will re-start talks over point guard Mike Bibby, but in reality the time might have passed. The Kings wanted some expiring contracts in the deal; that was a large component of the original talks. With the season over, the Cavs no longer have the same assets to offer. Never say never, but don't assume it's much of an option.

The Cavs are one of the dozen or so teams to express interested in Greek guard Theo Papaloukas. The 6-foot-7 point guard has become a star for CSKA Moscow and was the main cog in the Greeks' victory over Team USA in last summer's FIBA World Championships. In addition, the Cavs are the type of team that interests Papaloukas because they need a point guard and are title contenders. As much of a playmaker and competitor as he is, however, Papaloukas is not a great shooter. The Cavs need shooters, and the reason they pursued European products Sarunas Jasikevicius and Anthony Parker over the last two summers is because those two can shoot. Said one NBA international scout about Papaloukas: ``He's a great European player.'' Key word in that assessment: European.

It sucks, Ira and Damon wanna leave. :no1:I actually want Bibby. Because with a point guard leading the way, Larry Hughes and LeBron James can get much more open looks. I hope Ferry pulls something off, but I doubt he will.
