    The Overlooked

    Jermareo Davidson
    Alabama Senior PF

Why don't people talk about him more? He's carrying the Tide despite losing 2 people that were close to him. He's got the talent, pretty athletic for a big man. I think his stock should rise after the ORL camp

    Taureen Green
    Florida Junior PG

Florida has gone as Green goes, so why isn't he as touted as his fellow running mates? I think he's the type of point guard that will lead a team during crunch time and make the plays when needed.

    Reyshawn Terry
    North Carolina Senior SF

Terry is one of the most athletic and well built players you'll get in the draft, he's much more rounded than David Noel was last year too. I think he could be a pretty good player in the NBA

    Marko Tomas
    Europe

I remember two years ago he was projected as a top 20 pick because of his mad range but now he's in the mid-2nd. What happened to this guy? Did he just stop producting or what?

    Jared Dudley
    Boston College Senior SF

Dudley has been the heart and soul of the Eagles but no matter what he does , he hasn't rose. He plays with great intensity everytime I see him, so why does he not get respect like he should?

    The Overhyped

    Joahkim Noah
    Florida Junior C

Ever since last year's tourney, he has been complete trash. He lacks the attention spand for the long season IMO and just doesn't seem like he's in the game all the time.

    Mustafa Shakur
    Arizona Senior PG

The guy is absolute trash, and you've heard it from a loyal Arizona fan. 4 years with Lute coaching him and he hasn't changed a bit except that his shot is a bit better and that took him 3 years to change. If you can't learn from Lute, you can't learn from anyone. His decision making is horrible and his draft stock gone up and down like a See-saw

    Aaron Gray
    Pitt Senior C

What's so great about him except the fact that's he's 7-foot? Gray was completely dominated by Pattycake O'Bryant last year in the tourney and look where Pattycake is now! The NBDL because he's a bigtime bust. Can someone tell me why NBA teams like uncoodinated looking 7 foot ogres so much?

    Marcus Williams
    Arizona Sophomore SF

He's NBA caliber talent-wise but doesn't have the heart to do anything special in the league. Early on in his Arizona career he was playing with something to prove to everyone but now he's has 1 foot in the draft and is dragging down the rest of his team's performance.

    Josh McRoberts
    Duke Sophomore PF

Duke players get hyped all the time, I'm not saying this kid is trash but he's pretty damn close. People say he's pretty athletic for a big man, well guess what, the guy is white. White man can't jump last time I checked and McRoberts can't finish right handed either when I checked.

Lets hear who you think are overlooked and overhyped

    Overlooked:

Ryan Anderson, FR, 6'10 PF from Cal- One of the best freshman in the country and one of the best players in the Pac-10, you never hear anything about this guy. Of course, I'm a biased Cal fan but whats not to like? 16.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 48% FGs, 38% 3 pt, 80% FTs, the guy can legitimately score from inside or outside with a solid post game and a great jumpshot, hes pretty mobile at around 6'9-6'10 and around 230lbs. As a freshman hes had to carry the Golden Bears because hes the only healthy big man. The guy isn't a great athlete but hes definitely mobile enough to make it in the NBA. I'd compare his athleticism/body type to Nick Collison and his game to Mehmet Okur (best case) or Kieth Van Horn. Hes still got to develop his inside game more and bulk up, also developing a good handle and ability to dribble penetrate would make him even more deadly.

JamesOn Curry, JR, 6'3 PG from Oklahoma State- This guy gets no hype and can't even be found on most mock drafts. Hes a scoring PG, can absolutely shoot the lights out, has pretty good athleticism, good shooting %'s. Just scored 40 in a game against Baylor and has scored over 30 in two other games this season. He gets a lot of steals and can get a lot of assists but also a lot of turnovers. Right now I'd compare him to Eddie House but I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a player in the mold of Jason Terry.

DJ Augustin, FR, 5'11 PG from Texas- This kid obviously does get some hype but hes often overshadowed by other FR PGs who play on BSPN's favorite teams. He reminds me of Deron Williams, though much smaller at only 5'11 and has more penetration ability. Hes a legit PG who is great at setting others up but hes also a very solid scorer and shooter. The obvious knock on him is his height but, to me, height isn't very important at all at the PG position. Look at guys like Jameer Nelson and Chris Paul, they were great college players and knocked for their height in the draft but they're still very good in the NBA. A big NCAA tourney could finally get him some attention and if he were to enter the draft he'd be right up there with Acie Law as the first PG taken.

I also agree with all of JRay's picks, especially taurean Green and Jamareo Davidson. I'd also say that Acie Law is being underrated even despite getting a decent amount of hype, as is Corey Brewer, who should be a top 7 pick IMO.

    Overhyped:

Josh McRoberts:- This guy reminds me of Mike Dunleavy Jr. Does a little bit of everything, but does nothing exceptionally well. Athleticism and smarts are way overrated, hes a tweener, weak mental toughness, gets a ton of hype despite mediocre production, constantly gets excuses made for him (if I had a nickle for every time I heard an excuse for MDJ...). He could turn out to be a nice role player in the NBA but right now all I see is a tweener F who is soft on the inside, has average athleticism, decent skills, and poor mental toughness. I'd take him late first/early second if I were a GM.

Joakim Noah- Agree with everything JRay said about him. To be honest I still don't know why he got so much hype. The guy can block a shot but hes weak and doesn't like contact on the inside. Horford is the guy doing all the dirty work inside, Noah just hangs around the mid post, makes solid passes, and finishes dunks and layups. Hes got no scoring ability outside of dunks and layups, has a small frame that will prevent him from bulking up very much, his rebounding is good, not great, shotblocking is also good but actually noticeably worse from last year. And to top it all off hes really annoying, people say hes got passion for the game just because he goes around yelling like a godamn idiot but its rare that you ever see that from him outside of the NCAA tourney games. The guy is just a pompous, cocky asshole who only gets up for big games. I like Horford much better because of the guys rebuonding, skill inside, and he actually wants to play inside and bang around in the post. Noah can be like Pau Gasol without the scoring ability.

I'll probably post some more later on but those are the obvious ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Overlooked - Kyle Weaver from Washington State. I'm not sure if he declares early, but he'll be a stud at the next level.
