MacDonald is a pesky little bugger and will probably get close to that. Thus the reason Girardi's not likely to sign any type of extension now unless it's in the $6 mil range, good dmen get crazy money during free agency nowadays. With 3 dmen locked up next year and McIlrath likely to take the 4th spot do the Rangers give Dan that kind of money. Personally I'd look to trade him for offensive help, don't think he's worth the money or cap hit. He should have much more trade value than MDZ.
