    Re: The Punisher's Draft Grades

Arizona Cardinals | BLevi Brown was a reach, but they actually liked him more than #3 pick Joe Thomas. Alan Branch and Buster Davis were wonderful picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.Atlanta Falcons | B+They would've been much happier with LaRon Landry, but Jamaal Anderson was a solid pick. Getting Chris Houston and Justin Blalock in the 2nd round was excellent.Baltimore Ravens | C+Ben Grubbs wasn't the best player available, but it was their biggest need. Yamon Figurs is going to be nothing more than a 4th string WR or KR/PR. Troy Smith in the 6th round was a steal.Buffalo Bills | BNo doubt the Bills two biggest needs were at RB and LB. They addressed both... with the best they could find. Marshawn Lynch in the 1st round a 2nd round steal in Paul Pozluszny. Carolina Panthers | A-They traded down and still got their man in Jon Beason. With Keyshawn Johnson leaving, who better to replace him than Dwayne Jarrett? They also got Ryan Kalil and Charles Johnson. Brilliant.Chicago Bears | CGreg Olsen is a really good player and was a terrific pick, but the rest of their picks were reaches. But at least they had a lot of picks.Cincinnati Bengals | CThey got, in some people's eyes, the best CB in the draft in Leon Hall. Kenny Irons is good but wasn't much of a need for them. Nedu Ndukwe in the 7th round was solid.Cleveland Browns | ASnagging Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn in one draft is just unbelievable, but they gave up a little too much to get Quinn. Eric Wright in the 3rd round was a good pick also.Dallas Cowboys | B-Anthony Spencer can play both DE and OLB for them; was a great pick. Acquiring Cleveland's 1st rounder next year was nice. But the Cowboys pretty much wasted the rest of their draft on projects.Denver Broncos | B-Just four picks in the draft, but they were all pretty good. Jarvis Moss is an amazing pass rusher and will help that Denver d-line a lot. Tim Crowder and Marcus Thomas will help that Denver d-line a lot too. Detroit Lions | B+Calvin Johnson is one of the best prospects ever, and the Lions got him without trading up. Drew Stanton and Ikaika Alma-Francis were good 2nd round picks also.Green Bay Packers | CJustin Harrell, Brandon Jackson, and James Jones were big reaches. What saved their draft was their awesome later picks such as Aaron Rouse, David Clowney, Desmond Bishop, and Mason Crosby.Houston Texans | C-Amobi Okoye, without a question, has the potential to be one the best linemen ever. The rest of their draft was average at best though. But getting Brandon Frye in the 5th round was nice.Indianapolis Colts | B Anthony Gonzalez will replace Brandon Stokley well. Daymeion Hughes in the 3rd round and Michael Coe in the 5th round was excellent.Jacksonville Jaguars | BThey got a playmaker in Reggie Nelson, an amazing punter in Adam Podlesh, and a very nice sleeper in Derek Landry with their 5th round pick. It also helped to have a million picks in one draft.Kansas City Chiefs | CTurk McBride and Tank Tyler are awesome DT's, but that wasn't their biggest need. And they could've got a better WR than Dwayne Bowe. Justin Medlock was nice in the 5th.Miami Dolphins | CTed Ginn is great, but passing up on Brady Quinn to get him?! They were very lucky to get John Beck in the 2nd round. Samson Satele and Lorenzo Booker were good picks on the first day.Minnesota Vikings | AAdrian Peterson will be R.O.Y. They also got two good WR's in Sidney Rice and Aundrae Allison, and helped their defense a lot with Marcus McCauley, Brian Robinson, and Rufus Alexander.New England Patriots | B-Having just one 1st day pick (after the trades), the Patriots filled their need with Brandon Meriweather. They also got San Francisco's 2008 1st rounder. The rest of their draft was full of projects.New Orleans Saints | C+Somehow Robert Meachem fell to them at #27... somehow. Nothing special in the later rounds, but nothing too bad either.New York Giants | BAaron Ross is going to be 25 years old, but still an amazing CB. Steve Smith in the 2nd round was a good pick, as was Zak DeOssie.New York Jets | BHad just two picks in the top 175 picks, but they were very good. Darrelle Revis in the 1st and David Harris in the 2nd was great.Oakland Raiders | B+They really helped their offense by getting JaMarcus Russell, who they helped by getting Zach Miller, Johnny Lee Higgins, and Michael Bush. They also got a good pass rusher in Quentin Moses.Philadelphia Eagles | D+Perhaps the worst move in the draft; the Eagles trading up to get Kevin Kolb. But they had a pretty good draft after that, by getting Victor Abiamiri, Tony Hunt, and Stewart Bradley.Pittsburgh Steelers | BLawrence Timmons and LeMarr Woodley will make fans forget Joey Porter. Matt Spaeth, Ryan McBean, and William Gay were all very solid picks.San Diego Chargers | CWas Craig Davis really one of the best WR's in the draft, even if they needed a WR bad? Eric Weddle was a nice pick though. Brandon Siler was most definitely an incredible steal in the 7th round.San Francisco 49ers | AThey needed an ILB, got Patrick Willis... Needed an OT, got Joe Staley... Needed a WR, got Jason Hill... Needed a big DE, got Ray McDonald and Jay Moore. Enough Said?St. Louis Rams | B-Adam Carriker was a very nice pick, as was snagging Brian Leonard in the 2nd round. The other picks were below average though.Seattle Seahawks | C-It's hard to have a good draft when you don't have a 1st round pick. But Josh Wilson in the 2nd was a pretty good pick. Brandon Bebane and Baraka Atkins will help that d-line.Tampa Bay Buccaneers | BGaines Adams was definitely the best DE in this year's draft and the Bucs are happy with him. Arron Sears in the 2nd was a big help to their o-line. Marcus Hamilton was a 7th round sleeper.Tennessee Titans | CMichael Griffin is very good, but they needed a WR or CB more. Chris Henry was a nice pick in the 2nd round, as was Jacob Ford in the 6th.Washington Redskins | C-The Redskins biggest need was DE, but they couldn't pass up on LaRon Landry, one of the best defensive prospects in a long time. HB Blades was a good pick in the 6th.

I agree with the Vikings, Browns, and 9ers having the best drafts. Nothing really to argue about.

Next year I expect you to have them at a draft grade of like, D.

Next year they probably will get lower than a B. But you never know. And yeah, I'm a huge Brady Quinn fan still. He will be great.

    I'd give the Bucs a B+ but I'm not gonna argue over a +.
