I dont like this at all. If this goes down the trade wont include Duncan, Parker, or Ginobili. They could get rid of anybody else and I think it would be a great trade for them. You cant say this wouldnt have the Lakers concerned. Dont fool yourself, we had Spurs Lite last year in the playoffs. Ginobili was hurt, and TD was sick/recovering. I still give the edge to a healthy Lakers squad but things could get a lot closer when it comes to a 7 game series.

There are so many rumors right now, I'm not going to worry until something finally goes down. For instance I thought Amare to Miami was just moments from occurring at one point, but that did not materialize.

Mason and Hill have contributed well for them this year, as has Bonner. If they were to give up some of those pieces along with Bowen, it might not be too lopsided of a trade. I don't know it depends on how their bench looks after the trade as well.

I wouldn't be concerned about Carter. He is a career loser.

    Rasheed scares me.

In order for the Nets to pull of a trade that ships Carter for multiple players, they'd have to waive some people and make space since they're already at 15 players, and I don't know if they'd be looking to do that.

There is an article floating around Realgm somewhere saying they are willing to release Bowen and another player that would be traded to them.

Well, I have a hunch that if Bowen were to be included, there'd be a prior deal between the Spurs and Nets to release Bowen so he can come back to the Spurs in 30 days, much like with the Brent Barry ordeal last year.

Actually the Spurs could send just one player over (Roger Mason) and then sign Horry to make up the difference in salary.

Carter would provide the Spurs with exactly what they need .. athleticism.

I still don't think the Spurs are long enough to defeat us if Bynum is back and up to speed. Adding Sheed would be tough for the Lakers to deal with because of the mismatches he presents not to mention he's a tough defensive post player. That would be a classic showdown Bynum-Gasol vs. Duncan-Sheed.
