Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet Is the stingy ownership. Year after year the suns give away draft picks for cash.2004: Luol Deng from Phoenix to Bulls for: Nate Robinson, Jackson Vroman, and cash. Nate Robinson and Quentin Richardson then traded to NY for Kurt Thomas. 2005 (21) they traded the pick to the Knicks, in 2006 and 2007 they sold they 27th and 24th respectively to the Blazers. So, over the last four years: Luol Deng, Quentin Richardson, Nate Robinson, Sergio Rodriguez and Rudy Fernandez for Kurt Thomas, Jackson Vroman, Dijon Thompson and a shitload of cash.Is it any wonder why they keep having depth issues?
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet The only mistake I would see is Luol Deng. Live ive said, the Suns just need another player to fill an efficiency role for the team, which Deng wouldve done. 19 and 7 is amazing for an SF, he woudlve replaced Diaw very nicely, giving them serious depth at the 3.
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet I kind of agree with you, but since we will have to pay the 2nd most in luxury tax in the league I will put more of the blame on D'Antoni. People hate him and say he's a bad coach for the wrong reasons. It's not the style and he's not wearing the team out, but it's his stubborness and his terrible use of the bench that is hurting us. I will put some more blame on Sarver, the UA scum, if the lose Grant Hill like Finley, but it's all D'Antoni right now.Is Marcus Banks any less talented than Jacque Vaughn or Darrell Armstrong? Did Jumaine Jones and Jalen Rose not have productive years before coming here? Coach likes his small rotations...he only gives each player a very limited amount of time on the court so they don't really fit in anywhere. He cares so much about winning games early that he doesn't let the players come in and become part of the team like good coaches do(Phil Jackson, Pops). And in the end when we only have 6 or 7 guys contributing, it doesn't help in making adjustments against good coaches. He just doesn't know how to use the bench. Then you go up against the Spurs and you barely play Kurt Thomas in Game 1 because you feel like you conceded to the Spurs style even though with Kurt Thomas the team plays much, much better against them...? Ugh!If he doesn't give Alando Tucker a real chance to earn some playing time and we'll still have a 7 or 8 man rotation I'll be making FireMikeD'Antoni.comEdit: But yeah....they saved a ton of money trading the pick(which I don't think is smart) and giving away Jones, but now they only offer Hill the minimum and say if they sign him they are done? Come on! We could use a guy like PJ Brown too.
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet Oh, but I fully support the Q for KT trade. Still, Deng, Rudy and Sergio. They could have gotten Igoudala too I think in the Deng draft.
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet If your ownership would only switch to Geico. :no1:

They had the 7th pick in that draft, and thought he would be gone by then, and thus went ahead and made a trade with Chicago (selecting Deng for them at 7) when Iguodala was still on the board.
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet Damn, if we had a small forward right now who could contribute offensively against good defenses then we probably would've won one by now. You can't beat the Spurs with a 2-man show.
Re: The real reason the Suns haven't won a ring yet Iguodala would have been perfect for Phoenix, in my opinion. Went to college in Arizona, solid defender, great athlete who thrives in the open court. Only negative would be an inconsistent shot, but that is steadily improving anyway.
