I have had a lot of questions from people lately asking me why the Cowboys are interested in Keyshawn. While I am not a fan of Keyshawn, I think this makes sense for both parties. Here is why. First of all, you have to start with the current player. Joey Galloway is the fifth-highest paid receiver in the game. For that, Dallas got only 34 receptions last year. OK, blame some of that on the QB if you would like, but that is only a part of it. Galloway basically only provided the home-run threat with his speed. Yes, that talent won Dallas a game or two, but it did not provide the talent that they are looking for....desperately needing to have to become a better team.....the ability to sustain a drive. There's no doubt in Keyshawn Johnson's mind that he's one of the NFL's best receivers. All you have to do is ask him. It's no secret. He's said it a hundred times. Maybe a million. Everyone (besides Keyshawn) will agree, though, that if this trade goes through, Dallas will NOT have one of the top receivers in the league. Everyone will also agree that Keyshawn is a good receiver. He's good at what he does, and he will go into a crowd and make a tough catch. But he can't run, so he doesn't strike fear into the hearts of the league's DCs and keep them up all night. They'll be getting a quality, possession receiver with a history of creating locker room friction. Nothing more, nothing less. Or will they? Johnson had his best seasons under Parcells, and has a good working relationship with OC Maurice Carthon, and WR coach Todd Haley. At 6-4 and 212 pounds, Johnson will be at his best in the middle of the field, where he uses his body to shield defenders from the ball. Payton is very good at incorporating motion to create mismatches. Johnson, who blocks very well, will be matched against a lot of linebackers and strong safeties in running plays, as well as play actions fakes. This will help with his lack of speed. He's not going to make the Pro Bowl with the Cowboys. He is not going to have a 1,300 yard season. He's going to catch 50 balls, though, will probably at least 35 going for a first down. He'll keep drives going because we will have someone to throw that 3rd and short or 3rd and medium pass to. What we lose in speed we will make up for in control. We still have some very fast players on the team. Back in November when he was suspended, everyone speculated that Keyshawn would end up in Dallas or New England. The Patriots don't need him...Dallas does. Now if we could find a RB that could help sustain the drives, and more consistency and reliability out of our QB position......
I will give it to ya what u said was true but dallas i would not think to be a team to go after recivers and though it makes sense that keshawn would play for the tuna again i also think they have bigger problems nothing on defense but they have to wory about the qb himself not the person he ios throwing to. they already have bryant and if they had a good qb galloway would have had better numbers and dallas would maybe even have gotten to the second round of the playoffs. so before you start talking about wr get a qb.Dallas already has gotten a wr,oline, defense now they need to get like i said a qb, and a rb who is despretley needed in dallas just someone that is good and does not fumble then maybe they can be given there props but until that happens Phila is still the beast in the east.
i have to agree, there defense scares me, but each game theyve lost last year was because there offense couldnot produce anything... look at the panthers game, they were crushed(and im not saying thats a bas thing), but they need a qb! they have great recievers, keyshawn isnt going to do anything if carter is still throwing like he does. so forget keysgawn and go dig up jeff garcia...
Keyshawn will make pro bowl in dallas. He will make QB better, he will make team better, and he is a great reciever, he make Brad Johnson better in tampa(look at his numbers after keyshawn was gone) he make testeverde better in NY, and he will help Q.Carter in Dallas(if he is starter) Key will catch a 100 passes for 1200 yards and 10 TD, he will do the little things parcells demands to win and they will win. Philly should try to trade for Keyshawn just so dallas doesnt get him
listen up bears first off learn how to spell. secondly dallas has wr they do not need more. no matter what quincy sucks i dont care what you say ya he has done better in 2 years but come on he already has wr and he has an oline and he still cant get it done he can not take presure so before dallas can deal with qb lay off keshawn thats not because i whant eagles to get him but because to be a better team u need everything not wr. plus phila would not touch a player who has come from playing with a ny,or dallas team thats just my oppinion.
ok well T.Oforphil81 i can spell just fine. However in this thread you spelled the following words incorrectly. 1) reciever - you spelled it recivers 2) keyshawn - you spelled it keshawn (twice) 3) is - you spelled it ios, i assume a typing error 4) desperately - you spelled it despretley 5) their - you spelled it there which was incorrect for context 6) pressure - you spelled it presure 7) want - you spelled it whant, another typing error? 8) opinion - you spelled it oppinion I suggest that before you make a commentary on my spelling, which i still don't see the error, you spell check your own posts and learn to type.
After reviewing my post i did notice some errors. i left out a "the" and "will" twice. I also left out an apostrophe. However, i think that for the most part when i post, as do most people, it is a leisure activity and they do not put the effort they would into grammar if writing a book or report for work.

I actually skipped reading T. Ofor's first comment. Why? Well my nickname for him says it all, "Mr. Run-On." As for the topic, I don't really care where he goes, in my opinion he is a cancer to any team. I'd like to see that cocky &^^#& end up sitting out the season after he realizes no one wants him.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Metallicat)</div><div class='quotemain'>amazing that this goes on in just about every site I visit. nice job administrator</div> Which part were you talking about, PB, the bickering?
What part isn't so obvious a blind man couldn't see? People complanin about messpilled werds is a personal attack, suggesting the member isn't educated enough to hold an opinion. well,...duh Johnson is very much alike Owens,...tall, slow receivers that are close to being washed up!
PB? hahahahahahahahahahahahaah you must be a sad individual...how long has it been since the other place folded??? And your still thinking about. how pathetic. Was that personal enough for ya?
