My view on the season so far. The first and perhaps most obvious word that jumps to most spurs fans' mouths about this season is disappointing , and in the context of last season that's a fair assumption. We re not as good as last year, Robbo in goal been distinctly average . I dont know the why or the what behind this but the truth is there to see. Keane's been poor , Carrick has left leaving a hole to fill in our midfield.King and Dawson have been rock solid really, but our left back problem seems to be unsolved although i prefer Benoit to Lee.

But is it fair though to criticise our side so harshly ? I mean come on look at where we were prior to Jol, not Santini mind, Under Pleat staring relegation in the face or better yet in the midtable under Hoddle , no European football and a team more at home on the Antiques Roadshow. I m disappointed with our signings this year , that for me has been the big let down this year , Zokora, Mido,Benoit- all really have been a let down , mainly Zokora due to him being tipped as the replacement for Carrick. But Berbatov and Chimbonda give me hope and faith in Jol's judgement.

Our away form too has to be called into question , Bolton,Arsenal,Newcastle and Reading all showed a lack of spine, fight and mainly a lack of a desire to win.

But how quickly we forget our progress in Europe, League Cup this season -compared to last year - None and the first round exit to Grimsby! The achievement of a victory of chelsea. The fact that we still have so many games to go and yet so many of you are already declaring this season terrible ... WE RE 7TH ! Not 17th, ok it's worse than last season but we ve gone from the desperate for success Spurs fans to the spoiled brats demanding top 4 finishes.

I dont think the Champions league will be in our grasp for a while yet but we have the ability to push on.Call me an optimist but i know one thing , no matter who puts on that White Jersey with the Cockerel on it, I know i will support them.
