Denver has faltered beyond belief. After starting 3-0, the Donkeys have gone 1-4 to be 4-4. The Chargers are 3-5. They are rejuvenated. They fired Ted Cottrell and promoted Ron Rivera to DC. The offense has been fine all year. Rivers has been the best QB in the league and LT is back on track if the Saints' game is any proof. The same can be said for Gates, who recently proclaimed himself 100% healthy. We are healthy now. Our defense is now playing with a chip on their shoulder. What makes me so confident we will take the AFC West? Denver has looked like shit and finish their season in San Diego. The Chargers have 5 home games left out of their 8. Their 3 road games are in Pittsburgh, in Kansas City, and in Tampa. They should win 1/3 and win out at home (sorry Huevon). That would put them at 9-7, which should be enough to get that AFC West. I am convinced that if our defense shows up and Rivera can ignite them, we can win out the season finishing no worse than 10-6. We control our destiny. Come on, boys!
It's all there for the Charger to take, if they can just get their shit together. This first game after the bye week will really tell me if they're ready to contend for the division title or not.
Defense has been a lot more aggressive. Fuck Norv Turner, offensive line, and our DB's. Whatever. Basically we need to win out--10 and 6. Hopefully we can just finish out the season with a lot of dignity. I'm in Michigan right now, but from what I've heard, they are already calling for Norv's job. Sweet.
