The Trio:Which is the best? okay, I thought that this would be a good topic to discuss. We all know that all teams have a good go to guy, but most teams have at least three players that can handle the rock. Here are some right here. Dirk/Nash/Finley Kidd/Martin/Jefferson Shaq/Malone/Payton Parker/Duncan/Ginobli McGrady/Lue/Gooden Bibby/Webber/Peja Marbury/Marion/Stodimire Van Axel/Dunleavy/Richardson Francis/Mobley/Ming Crawford/Chandler/Curry Arenas/Hayes/ Huges LeBron/Davis/Miles Carmelo/Miller/Camby(Boykins) Pierce/LaFrentz/Baker Wells/Wallace/Randolph I can't think of anymore off the top of my head but which trio do you think is the best?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-Ball215:</div><div class="quote_post">Shaq/Kobe/Payton Malone would be in there if there were 4.</div> Surely, Kobe shouldn't be the one bumped out in order to make a trio. It has to either be malone or payton. Also, denver has a list of four. Anyways, you cant really argue against the lakers (whichever names u decide to stick there)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">Marbury/Marion/Stodimire is my Favorite.</div> Yea their doing pretty good this year huh??
Bibby/Webber/Peja That I think is the best, Peja is averaging 20+ pts a game and is shooting 50%. That line is so efficient and smart, and its hard to stop. When these guys get a full season together without all the off-court stuff and injuries, they will have a great shot at the championship.
I think we need to realize that there is a difference between listing the trios, and listing the three best players on a team. While I love the Blazers and the combo of Sheed/Wells/Randolph, they are not a trio. This is the first year that Randolph has gotten minutes, how can they be a trio already? The only real trio on the list is Dallas', after all they are the "big three".
^Boom Stick heh heh heh I think that Dallas could have multiple entries. They've got their established big three but not taking into account what Trail_Blazer76 brought about a group actually being a trio and not just three good players (although I thought it was a good point) Dallas has 5 outstanding players. You could group them in many different ways and most of the groupings would be better than another teams top 3. The Lakers and Kings have solid trios (or quartet in the Lakers case) I like the Nets but there is so much speculation on where they would be without Kidd that I won't put them up top quite yet.
Yeah, most of the west's elite teams do have a trio. But I have a problem with the fact that people consider groups like McGrady/Lue/Gooden and Van Exel/Dunleavy/Richardson trios. Those are not trios....
Back in the day my favorite trio was Jordan/Pippen/Rodman. What an unstopable force back then. You have to go with Kobe/Shaq/Payton these days.
Iverson/Snow/Robinson <-- how about that? They haven't played much but I think when they get it together they can be pretty good.
