    Hello all,

I just want to make a few things clear. MARIS keeps spreading lies on this forum that Rudy is struggling because Rudy gets the ball at the end of shotclocks. First of all, it shouldn't matter if you're getting the ball at the end of the shot clock is you're wide open and Rudy has been wide open all series. Second of all, it's not true. In game 1, Rudy had 3 wide open threes in a row at the THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOT CLOCK. Rudy has only taken one guarded three and that was taken with about 15 seconds left on the shotclock. It was a horrible shot, forced, and there was no one to blame but himself. Blaming Miller is ludicrous and without MARIS.

The idea that Nate isn't using Rudy the right way is ridiculous. It is NATE who has decided to trust Rudy with the starting role. Because of Rudy's playoff experience in Spain, Nate chose to start Rudy in Game 6 vs Houston and Rudy was given FORTY ONE MINUTES of playing time. Rudy took seven shots and he only made ONE.

Rudy is shooting 18% from the field in three starts in the NBA playoffs. Why should plays be run from him if no one is guarding him and he can't shoot even 20% from the field?

Also- Batum hasn't had a single play run for him in this year's playoffs and he is averaging 15 ppg.

ALSO- MARIS wants to tear down Miller but Miller is averaging 21.5 ppg, 5.5 apg, 3.0 rpg, and 2.0 spg and he secured a HOME COURT ADVANTAGE FOR US IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Rudy has been AWFUL. Miller has been INCREDIBLE with the 6th highest PER in the Western Conference Playoffs.

What pisses most of us off is that Rudy has complained about playing time the entire time he has been here and is now doing nothing with the time he is being given. Don't tell me "But Rudy isn't getting enough shots." WHY DO YOU WANT RUDY SHOOTING MORE when he is shooting EIGHTEEN PERCENT FROM THE FIELD in three playoff starts???

All of this said, I'm not rooting for Rudy to fail. I want him to put everything behind him and contribute tonight. I do not need 20 ppg out of him to be pleased. But if he would just knock down a few WIDE OPEN SHOTS and score 10-12 ppg, it would be a step in the right direction.

I'm so sick of reading MARIS' drivel in here that I had to make this post.

NO DOUBLE TEAMS. WIDE OPEN SHOTS. EARLY IN SHOT CLOCK. EIGHTEEN PERCENT SHOOTING!!!!

You're assuming Maris intends everything he says to be taken seriously.

Yep, according to Maris, I'm a troll, and lack reading comprehension because I think Rudy is acting like a crybaby douche right now. :ghoti: Some people will go to any lengths to defend their favorite player.

Real players nut up no matter what the situation. Excuses are for pussies.

I am really worried that Rudy is tanking this and the coaching staff doesn't see it, and are going to continue to depend on him when he has no intent on even trying. The only thing I can hope for, is this is similar to the Ande Kirilenko situation a couple of years back, where he had totally lost his confidence. He eventually turned it around. But for a long time, it was really FUGLY. There was talk of him leaving back for Russia, concern of playing time even though he was sucking badly, etc.

Rudy would be great against high schoolers. If he could hit an open jumper.

    On Cue.

Good comparison hasoos. I believe all it takes for Rudy to get his confidence back is to make a shot, though it seems he has lost so much confidence he's not even taking shots!

When it get's this bad its time for the coach's to step in, give Rudy some direction, and get him the ball off a screen. The lack of ball movement on this team drives me Crazy !

What did the Jazz coaches do to straighten him out? Some "quality time" with Jerry Sloan?

Rudy has played well in Euro playoffs and I think he'll be fine. He has a skill set and personally I would trust him to take a game winning shot. I grant you he's had a tough time, but I have faith in him.

I don't understand the "Rudy would play better on the Knicks or Suns" argument. Who gives a fuck? The Knicks and Suns have won a total of zero championships in the last 35 years. Why on earth would we want to play like them in order to make Rudy look good??
