The UFC will come to The Philippines for a PPV next year

    Former Light-Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell recently visited The Philippines to promote the UFC, drawing 4,000 fans to the Mall of America in Pasay City for an open workout. Fellow light heavyweight Brandon Vera, who is part Philippino, also attended the event. The UFC has had a partnership with a Philippino tevision network that has boosted their popularity in the area.

    According to Lorenzo Fertitta, the UFC would like to do a show on the islands with a combination of typical UFC fighters along with Asian fighters from the Philippines, Japan, and (South) Korea.

    I don't know what venue might be able to host the UFC--is there a large arena in Manilla, or would it have to take place outside?

    wow, that sounds kind of neat. Surprizing that the UFC hasn't been to Japan, or Germany yet though.

    holy crap! Thats just 3 hours away by plane for me! I missed the last UFC event when I was in Vegas... Maybe I can finally catch one live!!!
