Anyone watching this? I’m pleasantly surprised how good it is.

The critics hate it and the fans love it.

Funny how divided the fans and critics are these days. Hollywood seems to be completely oblivious about what people want to watch.

So... I hate the games, like loathe them, their beautiful works of art graphically. Geralt is the most boring video game character I have ever played with though. I just find him so lame. The show makes him out to be a little bit better though.

Funny, The Witcher 3 is pretty much the only RPG I've ever really liked. It's also, to my knowledge, one of the most well liked and highest rated video games ever.

It is, and CDPR did a decent job on it, theres a ton to do. I just find Geralt to be so boring, I cant play hundred+ hours of a character that dull to me.

CDPR is doing Cyberpunk this year which Im sure will be well received too.

I’ve watched all the episodes, it was better than I thought it would be. I’ll watch season 2 when they make it.

I’m really intrigued with what they are gonna do with the princess, her powers are very interesting.

Ciri is very powerful. Have you played the games, or read the books? I’ve played the games, and all the DLC, but I haven’t read any of the books.

The writer of the books doesnt consider the games canon, but from what I understand he does consider the tv show canon.
The show happens before the games IIRC.

BTW hope you’re doing well and safe, all those fires are crazy.
Edit: my bad just saw your thread on the fire situation down there. Stay safe.

You’re correct on all counts. Thanks for your concern. I’m safe, for today. It’s unlikely, but not impossible that my home will be in any danger. I have had a couple of scares this summer, the last one on New Year’s Eve.
