Zach Collins is the perfect meter of what Blazers fans tend to do with our players

What you are seeing now, a good starter on a bad team or potentially a good sub on a good team is what he always was

But reading this forum in the past years you could read people comparing him to Anthony Davis, calling him a unicorn...

The same happens now with Sharpe and others

    Sharpe compared to Kobe
    Camara compared to Pippen
Scoot a big version of CP3

The fuck are we doing.... Why does we set ourselves up for disappointment

Don't make me wrong, if we really had superstar talent like OKC with SGA/Holmgren I would be the first hyping them up, but right now we don't have that

Is it just being Homer or Blazers fans don't watch much basketball outside of our games to be able to compare players?

Oh! Now do a thread about Pat Connorton or maybe CJ McCollum.

Lol I laugh at everyone who wastes time trying to reason out why we let go of an oft injured PF/C. It's like they gain amnesia once someone is traded.

    Do better

    I was saying the opposite

He's a good player, nothing to be excited about, but people in this forum were raving about him in the past years calling him a Unicorn, the white Anthony Davis...

So are you saying Sharpe is nothing to be excited about? I agree comparing players to all time greats is always premature,

I started a thread 1 year ago calling him the most exciting player since Drexler...

But exciting doesn't mean he will be as good

Obviously Shaedon is above Collins as a prospect but at the same time comparing him to Bryant/McGrady is not a good thing after watching him lately...

I'm sure Blazer fans are the only sports fans who do this.

If we give up on a player they will go on to be good, if we keep them, they will suck. It's the Blazer way.

Now Zach is the exact type of PF we need on our team. This fucking franchise can't help but fuck up everything.

Maybe we can trade Brog and a first to get him back.

I still think Meyers Leonard will be the next Hakeem Olajuwon, centers just develop slowly.

Zach Collins is an incredible team defender. He made a huge difference for us in the playoffs.

Healthy Collins alone would have probably bumped the Dame teams to middle of the pack on defense.

Not a superstar, but very valuable.

SGA was just an up-and-coming, occasionally tantalizing talent when the Clippers traded him to OKC, which is sort of the whole point of hoping for the best with young prospects. Some pan out, some don't. I doubt Portland fans are unique in that.

With less sarcasm, was this team suppose to be winning team this season? I guess I missed that memo...
