The thing that puzzles me is Sather insisting on a top 4 dman back in a MDZ deal. WHAT??? How does that make sense. We'll deal you our dman for your dman? Wake up old man. You deal a DZ for scoring. THEN in a separate deal try and add a dman back. What is the point of dealing DZ for another dman? My lord Sather is WAY past his prime. Sucks for us.
I agree with you chuck. I think the old man is afraid that Staal might not be back this year. Wants to make sure he gets a capable d-men back for DZ.
I am sure he is, but that REALLY limits your ability to trade. The team dealing for DZ in theory needs D, so we ask for D back...MAKES NO SENSE. Now that we stink and appear to be going nowhere, maybe Glen will change his stance on a dman deal...at least I hope.
