Their forecheck was reminiscent of when we were running teams over in 2011-2012. We got so frustrated by it that we started panicking with the puck. Overall not a good game, but I guess it was a fair gauge of where we are against a real contender in the west.

Columbus spanked the Flyers for their 8th straight... they are really rolling but I have to think they will cool off.

Didn't like Girardi's game especially the moron pass on their first goal. Klein looked alright but I really hope his presence doesn't keep John Moore thinking hes f'in Bobby Orr with these attempts to skate through everyone just because hes got a stay at home back there.

Too many turnovers, not enough puck possession, need to get 3pts out of the stadium series games.

That Islander loss could be a negative turning point.

    Same story. Not enough finishers.

Exactly. Another game with 30 something shots and decent chances but one goal

I have to think if we stay in it, which I would expect us to do, Sather will make a deal for some scoring. With Klein added I bet they feel like the D is solid now, agree or disagree. And they know we need another scorer and I bet that is now the sole focus, add a scorer.

Who they deal for that scorer, what scorer they target, that is up for discussion, but I am sure that is now the sole focus with MDZ dealt for Klein, who I bet they see as a player who solidifies the D.

The Rangers are in second place and are going to lose a few now and then. They never match the Islanders intensity when the two play, same problem's been going on for years.

They need to hire a shooting coach to teach them how to shoot. They missed the net at least 4 times last night. Stepan missed the net on wide open shot, blues go the other way and score with the skate. Girardi missed the net on PP, the blues get their PP and score from the blue line. This team cant shoot.

This team is definitely the gang that can't shoot straight and its been that way for awhile. That being said instead of a shooting coach just got a couple of actual scorers in here and it just might become contagious

I hate when they put up 35 plus shots, and score 1 goal. It's like the goalie has a bulls eye painted on his chest, and if the backup goalie is starting forget about it.

When we lose, we bitch....on anything and everything. This is our nature.
    So be it.

When we win, we become complacent, but it is something we never will
get used to. We wait for the bubble to burst. It always does.

    When is Spring training? LOL

the new garden may be too nice for both the Rangers and the Knicks. The Rangers seem to play with less intensity at home and that is not acceptable

Halak wasn't really tested on most of those 35. The Blues really did a great job not allowing much in the middle of the ice. Not that the Rangers ever get anyone streaking unimpeded to the net like other teams constantly do to them.

That's the problem, they make things to easy for opposing goalies.

They needed someone to put Backes on his ass after butt-ended CK into the boards. The team needs more toughness, wonder if Toronto would part with Clarkson for Hagelin & prospect? The Leafs could use the cap relief, downside is Clarkson has a ridiculously long contract but would bring the edge the Rangers lack, might also make Callahan expendable. Perhaps a short term move for an inexpensive goon like John Scott to finish out the season in Carcillo or D. Moore's spot. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise on the non-call when a premier player like Nash was checked into the goal after the play was basically over. These last 30 games of the playoff push will get nasty, Scott is in the last year of a $750K contract. Like Colton Orr, never understood why Glen let the guy walk when he had filled a 4th line need with an inexpensive tough guy.

All the other area teams know how to score against STL. I think other teams take it up a notch when playing at MSG and think they can letdown in NJ/LI.

Hated that ck butt end also and thats the 2nd time he's taken big head hit (last year with orpik) with rangers doing their best dale rolfe impersonations. I don't care if hit clean or not and last nights was not when one of our guys takes a hard hit like that we need to stick up for them immediately like every other team does when one of their guys takes a big hit.
