Aside from new refs or something, I wish they'd go back to the 5-7-7-7 format, the extra two games are ALMOST always pointless. Obviously my beloved Suns would've been knocked out in the first round, but oh well. I think it's a waste of time. The playoffs keep starting and ending later and later.

I hate that about the NFL... you have teams cutting players left and right, and it causes too much player movement. Obviously there will be times when a player sucks but gets $10 million a year, but then again that's the GM's fault for being a dumbass and vastly overpaying the player.
I agree to how they should change it back to 5-7-7-7. The first round series are ussually blow outs so it serves no purpose to have a 7 game series. I would even like it to go to a 5-5-7-7 but they would have to change the playoff seeding format to better record=better seed and not by division in order to do that
I hate that the 3 second violation is a technical. I wish they would abolish it, it just wastes time and isn't called consistantly.

I get really excited abou t a lot of the first round match-up. I love the playoffs. I'm not sure what I'd change.... I knew there was something I didn't like but it just slipped my mind.
I dont think they would ever change the format in the first round to being a best out of 5 again beacause then they would lose money
Why does all the blame go to Wade? It was done throughout most of the playoffs and alot of the regular season, no one just seemed to notice. David Stern changed the game so that players like Wade, LeBron and so on will get more points. He wanted more perimeter players attacking the rim instead of physical defense. The changes were aimed at the Pistons more then anyone else, Stern didn't like the physical defense they played so he changed it around. I read most of this from an article in ESPN Insider(it was surprisingly good) it made lots of good points and I actually agreed with most of it. If I have a chance I'll post it so the rest of you can have a chance to take a look at it.
FIRST THING: David Stern was on during the playoffs, and he said they ARE ditching the top 3 seed=division winner crap. He said he didn't like how that worked out with the Spurs/Mavs either. So don't worry about that. He said that "they" are working on ditching that.I'd also rather have the format be 2-2-1-1-1 instead of 2-3-2 in the Finals and 2-2-1-1-1 everywhere else.
Get rid of 3 in the key for the offensive player, and make it 5 in the key. The NBA doesnt have any inside players anymore really, not like the used to. They need to get rid of that rule and allow players to thrive in the paint, or else, like Shaq said, there's going to be a bunch of Dirk Nowitzki's shooting 3's. Also, the NBA should not allow traveling anymore, and let defensive players PLAY more. They need to take it easier on the defensive players. The NBA does need more defensive players, and that's the way to do it.I like the other ideas posted like the playoff seeds. It should be pure divisions because it's just not fair to the Mavs. They were the 2nd best team in the West but they only got the 4th seed, and a team like the Nuggets got the 3rd seed. They should get rid of that. Also, make the first 2 rounds 5 game series'. You dont want players getting tired come Finals time..

Court has to be bigger, guys get up the court up and down quick, players are getting faster and bigger. Game is going up temp, court needs to be bigger to allow space and movement. Add at least one more ref to the squad, this will bring the percentage of bad calls down and good ones up. They will still be bad calls but adding another ref will bring that down to the crap it's been these past few years. As for playoff format, which is what most people are bringing up, I honestly don't mind the 7 game first round series. It just adds a little flavor to the first round although making it long. But it's a good thing in my opinion because it allows underdog teams a chance to possibly pull a upset. Also, in most cases it just pushes the playoffs a day or two with the 7 games, nothing bad about that. Like this year, the playoff series was really on format with the dates on when they had 5 games(in past years). I think the standings should be changed to top teams in West, top teams in East. Instead of seeding the top 3 with division winner. I don't know what they should reward teams who win their division, but I don't really care. Is it that big of a deal to win it anyways. Your just trying to put up the best record amongst other teams.

You took a little stab at Wade when lots of other players get away with the same thing. No one was trying to prove your statement wrong.

It's not like I said Wade sucks and gets all the calls and is the only one. I guess I need to call the wah-bulence for you, huh.
