I am so SHOCKED that the white kid from Covington is suing for $250,000,000. Only $250M. That seems so out of character for him and his family. They seemed like such innocent victims who were just trying to enjoy an afternoon in the nation's capitol with their classmates. Such nice people who have goodness in their hearts. A quarter of a Billion dollars will at least get him and his family back on their feet and able to move forward from this tragic event.

I remember reading about some country in Europe that charges you more for speeding the more you make. A 300 dollar ticket doesn't bother a billionaire.

This seems like a good amount for Bezos to maybe feel it. Not as much most Americans would miss 300 bucks but it is something.

With math, anything's possible. If WaPo starts their counteroffer at 1/50 of a cent, and then double their counter each time, while Nick halves his, then the middle ends up in the $250 neighborhood after 20 rounds. Yay math!
