I find it shocking how so many members here think they know everything. We have heard almost nothing in the media about what player is hot on this teams list, who's ahead of who, etc....I know most of the players in this draft like the back of my hand, but some of you act like you have insider knowledge. Some of you guys take the popular draft websites (the big 2) too literally. I hear some of you go, 'theres no way this team picks nick young over thaddeus young', it's like, how the hell do you know?
A lot of this stuff is based on opinions put together from news etc...nobody is saying things are definite.I don't see anybody in here that is a draft scout or works in the front office...
Even if a guy is promised to be picked by a certain team, that team may break their promise. There is nothing definite about the draft (except Durant and Oden), until the draft is over.
I agree BCB, some people take their opinion way to seriously. It's all speculation.I used to for shits and giggles, print off 4-6 Final mock drafts from the big sports sites and have them in front of me for draft night.as soon as the obvious 1-3 choices are made, it became a complete crap shoot. because as soon as say the Hawks pick Sheldon Williams at #5 or some foreign dark horse gets picked, the rest of the draft goes bonkers.the GM's lie through their teeth to either hide who they want or to make a team behind them nervous and to get trade offers from them to move up, so they can slide back and get the guy they want. The sports writers convey these lies and if we're gullible enough to buy into them, we get a big suprise come draft night. (well quite a few of us do anywho)still it's fun to guess and speculate.otherwise why come here at this time of year
That's another great thing about this draft. Not only is it absolutely loaded with talent, but nobody knows what's gonna happen from #3 on. Draft night is going to be extremely exciting, I can't wait. 12 days, people!
This is a draft that is deep with alot of average players. I'd say that anyone from 9-16 is just as good as anyone from 17-30 in this draft.

You have your potential stars at the top, some good starters late lotto-mid 1st, good role players in the mid-late 20's, then you WILL find some rotation players in the 2nd round. This is so deep, it's filled with better than "average" players, IMO. Now last year... that's a different story.
